Whatever, just wash your hands.
Its attitudes like this that make me buy all their games at launch, even if I don't enjoy the launch version, I know they will eventually have some huge patch that fixes the problems and adds tons of stuff. I do need to reinstall Witcher 2 now that I have a kick ass comp.

Am I the only one who sees the hypocrisy in a dev who claims to treat gamers "as grown-ups" also has in-game nude pictures of its characters that make me feel like I'm being treated like a horny 12 year old?
Yes, but you're being treated like a very grown up twelve year old.

Like Valve isn't perfect, and Steam has a thin layer of DRM, but CDP RED seem to be entirely benevolent 100% of the time, and it's a little disconcerting.
Is this not a good thing, or am I too much of an optimist for these forums?
Just seems like they're buttering us up that's all. Also, I'm probably being overly cynical, so don't pay me any mind.

Yes, to trap us into becoming unwilling pawns in their insidious scheme to not treat their customers like shit.

The bastards!

This is why I love these guys.

Can't wait for Cyberpunk.

Hey Ubisoft maybe you guys should listen to these guys.
DRM is useless. Ahh a motto for the ages.
Want to know something funny? When GoG started rolling out newer games on their service, Ubisoft was the first to jump on, offering Assassin's Creed 1.

Funny how things work out.

This is -exactly- the reason that I bought Witcher 2 at full release price, knowing full well that it wasn't particularly my cup of tea. I was pleasantly surprised to find I had fun with it, but I didn't know that going in, I bought the game because I actually -want- to support these guys, and I want to show my support for their way of thinking as much as I possibly can.

Also, Cyberpunk will be a day one purchase for me, this has already been decided.

They're not really buttering us up. All they're doing is not treating their customers with contempt like most others. It's not really pure benevolence, more just treating people like people, and not as walking, drooling wallets that are ripe for the picking.

So this is why my copy of Ass Creed 1 had no DRM. I thought Ubisoft had changed its ways. Alas...

it's weird seeing a company that can do absolutely nothing wrong.
You can relax then... CD Projekt RED were responsible for the abysmal PC port of Saints Row 2.

There was also the 'GoG.com shutting down sale' cock up and that 'suing pirates seemed like a good idea but then we hired unethical douche nozzles to handle it' thing.

See? Nothing to worry about.
Sorry, but CD Projekt RED was not responsible for that Saints Row 2 port. The port was done by their parent company CD Projekt. I'm not sure if they share staff or not but I'm fairly sure CD Project RED wouldn't have done such an abysmal job.

And yeah I agree with the GoG fiasco. That was pretty childish.
