I hardly support what the hackers did, but can someone tell me why I should care how this affects CDPR? Genuine question.
You don’t have to care how it affects CDPR at all. I only care that they catch these shit weasels and throw the book at them. Because this is where they get their delusions from: start with soft targets that people hate and get some Robin Hood lite street cred. Then they decide they want to re-enact Die Hard 4 and start fucking with shit that can have actual consequences for ordinary people and not just pissed of gamers.

Would that really discourage people though? Apple, Google, etc. seemed get hacked all the time and people always just go back to them after a while.
There’s really not much bigger targets than them though either, and the alternatives are pretty much shit. Any others that got as good would just end up getting as big too and have the same problems anyways. I’m curious as to what dirt CDPR has in their documents that affects customers though, since it’s out there. But we might not know anytime soon since terms of sale had something about no further publications.

Which makes the sale kinda pointless and selfish.

Just when you think, things are getting better for CDPR and cyberpunk 2077, something like this happens.
