That was actually an excellent advert. I doubt the game will be as good (though I'll still get it...). It's also a fairly Iron Man themed trailer. There's the AC/DC, RDJ and also in the first couple of seconds a guy casually swooping about with a jetpack. Pretty funky.

Again how is this any different from other games? (e.g. Assassins Creed, 2 - Brotherhood).
Wait, pause, pull the brakes.

You did not seriously just attempt to argue that the difference between Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2 will be as significant as the difference between AssCreed 1 and 2, or that indeed, Black Ops 1 and 2 will be equally as differentiated from each other as every other major sequel to every other major franchise in the gaming market.

There's no way you actually attempted to argue that seriously. Surely you realize just how bone-headed that statement is. So I'm going to presume you're just pulling my leg and move on to the rest of what you said.
I'm not sure whether you deliberately referanced "assassin creed 1 to 2" instead of "2 to Brotherhood" since the former is more different than the comparison of the latter I referanced, or you didn't read what I typed, but I'll let it slide either way. I don't really want to use Black Ops 2 as an example since I haven't played it, (however I see it as boasting more change than any other CoD). So we can use Blops to MW3, but you'll just tell me they're made by different devs, blah, blah, blah. So instead we'll use MW1 - MW2. I saw more change in this transaction than in "Assassins Creed 2 - Brotherhood". To make myself somewhat clearer; I believe that there was more change and ambition in MW1 - MW2 than there was in Assassin Creed 2 - Brotherhood.

Pretty sure we're way of topic from the trailer now...

What I can't understand from people is why they don't respect other people's reasons for buying games. I don't have a clue why people buy each Madden year to year, but I respect that they see something I don't as that is a game series they've chosen to study, If they can justify paying for the enjoyment they'd recieve, then by all means go do it. There's no need for me or anyone else to berate them for something that's completely opinionative.
You answered your point for me. Just because I acknowledge that people buy a new game in a particular series for full price despite it being exactly the same game as before with roughly ~$10-15 of DLC content slapped into it doesn't mean I'm obligated to agree with it or understand it.

People want to complain about the fact that we never see anything original at E3, but then don't understand why someone would dare to complain about THEIR hotly anticipated title coming under fire for being essentially the same game repackaged.

I acknowledge that you like CoD and you're perfectly content rationalizing the price tag to yourself. You, in turn, will just have to acknowledge that I think that your thinking is ridiculous, and that if you want to complain about a lack of original content, you should probably stop re-buying the same game over and over first.

Captcha: "politically correct" Well, we know I'm not.
I fully support people speaking their opinion on games not inovating or being different enough, my problem is that people go too far. It goes beyond you suggestion, recomendation, and criticizing, people judge the crap outta people just because they like xfps or xsports game.

Arg; so close. Right there with you until you keep bringing up the 'repackaged' game angle. I get it, you see CoD as the same game being printed out over and over again for more cash. You don't need to ram it home every damn paragraph, since it doesn't change my opinion it just pisses me off.
