How can you people hate Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? He managed to remove all gays from Iran! Has any other country in the history of the world managed that? I think not.
This is some kind of a joke, right?hypothetical fact said:How can you people hate Mahmoud Ahmadinejad? He managed to remove all gays from Iran! Has any other country in the history of the world managed that? I think not.
I never said go in guns blazing either, that's an option but at least "Change" could say something other than drone about government run health care. You sure are being pretty presumptive. Rebuilding a nation is pretty difficult considering an election has never taken place in Iraq or Afghanistan meaning that the people never had a plan, they always thought they were going to be oppressed and all we need to do is commit and help that government get started then they can have their republic and we can go home, we still have forces in Japan and Germany from WW2 and troops in Korea from the Korean war, I don't see you complaining about that. Besides I thought all of you people were for human rights? Now, right this instance, hundreds, maybe thousands of people are dying for their freedom and all our government has done was having Biden say - "The elections might have been fixed". They are protesting with signs in English for a reason they need help. Look up Hungary in 1956 and tell me what the aftermath was. Back then we had no choice because intervening then would have caused WW3 if we just released a statement or cleared a B52 for a 12 hour mission to JDAM some government buildings and give the freedom fighters a fucking chance in hell of accomplishing their goals. They have a leader selected already, they can take it further. Remember that even the U.S during our revolution needed help from the French to establish our freedom.steeltrain said:I say we letSo you think we should kick down the door, go in guns blazing, and set up a puppet government?JWAN said:I hope we do more than just sit and watch those people burn.
Those protest signs were in English for a reason
We cannot fix a middle east country. Never have, never will. If they want to burn their country to the ground then thats their prerogative.
well we could issue a statement, but the only one that's come out is Biden saying that "The elections might be fixed"Leorex said:what can we do, they had an election, the guy won.
I agree, At least Mousavi is open to talking with the civilized world. (Other than death threats and rants on how great the Nazis were and how the Jews invented the story about the Holocaust to get pity)The infamous SCAMola said:Great.
Although, I must say, I don't think Mousavi is that much different from Ahmadinejad anyway. But, I guess he could be considered the "lesser" of two evils.
