Well like I said before the cast of the game seem like bioware was aiming at making a party full of HK-47, while I was bit unsure at first, I think overtime it showed it might actually be good

Thane look like he actually has a conscience with his pretty good (just look at the new character trailer)

Riiight, Wrex wasn't a psychopath. Not one bit.

I love the new team. They're all badass, no whiny, pathetic Liaras this time. They are the kind of people I personally would bring along in a fight.

And relax, your romantic interests will be in the game. Bioware has stated this a billion times.

I really want to bring Joker out on missions.
I'm afraid that isn't possible...well, unless you like the sound of crunching bones.
Thats why I want to bring him along. Take that Seth Green!

He needs a hover wheelchair like Professor X had in a few of the X-men cartoons on TV.

One with mounted miniguns.

He had two contracts when you find him: Hunt down Fist (because he betrayed the Shadow Broker) and hunt down Saren (because he also betrayed the Shadow Broker). He figures Shep is his best chance to get both of those done.
Wrex was never hired to kill Saren. He simply worked for him one and left after he saw him because he had a bad feeling about him (which proved to be right.) Wrex stays with you (regardless if Fist is killed or not.) because he wants to be where the action is, and he knows that you're going after Saren.
No, I'm pretty sure he was. Talk to him on the Citadel again, when you recruit him (you might have to recruit him before Garrus to get this conversation), he talks about how Saren betrayed the Shadow Broker.
Best way to get that conversation is to talk to Barla Von before you find Wrex.

You can go Barla Von->Wrex->Garrus, Garrus->Barla Von->Wrex or simply Garrus->Wrex (I think Harken is needed for Garrus as well, but I can't confirm that at the moment).

If you talk to Barla Von, you're pretty much guaranteed the "betrayed the Shadow Broker" conversation point.

I'd take the Normandy all the way to the Migrant Fleet just to tap that.

Cerberus. Goddamn did I ever want to burn that organisation to the ground. Hopefully that will be an option later in game. As for working with them... I already know I'm taking Tali, I'll just use one of the non Cerberus other crewmembers.

Actually, that's not that far off. [http://xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/14235013/mass-effect-2/videos/masseffect2_trl_talivideo_113009.html]

Wow...I love how most people on here are jumping to conclusions about this game. The way some of you are talking its like the world is at an end because you can't play as certain squad mates, well just because your old squad mates aren't all playable doesn't mean they aren't in the game!

From what I've heard, Shepard apparently died (One trailer an Asari women looks at Shepard and says "But you're dead!") and is on a secret mission so leaving old friends and romances in the dark is probably a good thing when you're on a suicide/secret mission.

Its a new game people, which means new characters. If you don't like it, don't buy it

I seem to remember I didn't think much of any of the characters in ME1 until I had interacted with them on the ship. Those conversations gave the characters depth and therefore made me like them. Play the game and then judge the characters :D
Words of wisdom right here
What both these guys said. Stop moaning people, the game isn't even out yet. While I ike most of the characters from the first game, I'm looking forward to learning some new backstories to this collection of nutcases.

Wait till it comes out before you start bitching, the characters will most likely have a lot more depth than you are giving them a chance for

Bioware need to stop with all the characters and dialogue trees and work on the gameplay more.
They give me a galaxy to explore but I can't jump? Fuck off.
I don't think jumping would be all that useful in an actual gun fight

Well it would be unfair if you couldn't end up have an opportunity to destroy Cerebus considering they gave you an opportunity to destroy the council in the previous game

Don't think Mechwarrior. Find out. Finish your sweep.

When was the last time you saw soldiers in Afghanistan bunny hopping their way around the battlefield?

It's not just "not useful", it's detrimental.

They exile Tali!? :(

Well I suppose it means she can come with us but...that's a little harsh. Isn't her dad one of the five top Admiral people?

Yeah, but Tali mentions in the first game that he wouldn't step in to help her if she's being punished for a crime. On the plus side, the Mass Effect wiki says that, in Quarian eyes, Tali is now known as Tali'Zorah vas Normandy, since she becomes a crew member of the Normandy and completed her Pilgrimage. You can't tell me that's not cool.

When you see a soldier jumping in the air in Afganistan its usually because something really bad happened to him

Well exile shouldn't that hard to her, I mean her whole rite of passage into the adult age is that she sent into exile

I'm psyched about the new chara's but I'm also very attached to the older ones so I hope I can find those ones to (If there's no Liara and Kaidan I'm gonna be dangerous)
Also I'd like a batarian companion, no elchor those are WAY to slow to be useful in any way.

Yes, but the entire time during the first game, she's going on about how great the Quarians are, how much she misses the Migrant Fleet, how much she's going to help her people. Also, by the time of ME2, she's been back to the Fleet and a crew member for two years already. I mean, she always has perspective (i.e, she knows stopping Saren is more important than her Pilgrimage), but that wouldn't stop this from being a crushing blow to her.

I just realized that they call her that at the end of the video. Gave me chills.

I like Thane- he seems to have some potential to be a really interesting character (I hope)

But then I kind of liken it to KotOR 2. A lot of the characters didn't really seem very likeable to be me right off the bat... but I think that it in a lot of ways- they were deeper than a lot of the ones in the first KotOR... especially those like Carth, god that guy was such a ***** about everything

I know what you mean. It's sort of like, the first game is filled with well done archetypes [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/columns/experienced-points/6862-Experienced-Points-The-Writers-of-BioWare], and the second game still uses archetypes, but sort of subverts some of our expectations with them as well. Compare Carth to Atton or Bastila to Kreia to see what I mean. Mass Effect seems to be following the same pattern, even though this sequel is being made by Bioware.

Kreia was arguably the most unlikeable of the lot - and also the deepest and most interesting.
