I try and challenge myself to never recycle character names, but when I suffer complete creativity breakdowns, the name I usually use is Maduin. It's the name of Terra's father in Final Fantasy 6, but I use it as a girl's name.

My other often-reused name is Ilaydria, which I first used in an English exam, and have frequently used for all other subsequent characters I haven't cared about.

I don't usually play male characters at all, but when I have, I use Kieron, because that's my husband's name :D

Depends what kind of character I'm making;
Yotun is usually a go to name for good ones (since Jotun is rarely, if ever, available)
Scelerat for villainous characters (since it's French for villain, simple as really)
Others are Jespen and Erdun but since I keep getting pestered to see if i'm Swedish when i use Jespen i avoid it now.

Also, hurrah for making my first post

Joe. I'm serious. It's the most bad-ass name ever to give a male character xD ... wish my parents named me Joe...

But yeah, Joe is my choice of name, unless it's for an MMO or something. It also kinda depends on the game. In the Persona games I usually name myself Naboyuki though (because it means Faithful Happiness or something like that I've heard).

<-- That right there. Almost always use some slight variation on Kor Leonis. Its deliberately misspelled, but roughly translates to Lion's Heart.

Any character I create will almost universally be named Chris, because Chris is the name of a character I RP who I've sunk the past 6 years into developing, and I'm going to get some use out of him, dammit.

Ithuriel or Illas.

Ithuriel was a weapon from the Onimusha series that was described as being "as old as the world itself", which I liked as a concept.

Illas is, well, my name. My parents suck. :p

Lately I've used the name Robert quite a lot, i think i got it from some book that i read. Not sure though.
I actually don't like making up a name in games since i never seem to find one that suits perfectly.

Depends the setting of the game and what type of character I want to play. Usually stick with Nokaah though. It's my own name backwards, but it looks so smexy.

Sunrider or Sunnie, unless they require a "normal" name. In that case, I usually use my own name, Linus, for guys, and Mirel for chicks.
