I'll say. I got Serious Sam for 10p. And it worked. A serious bargain.

Do some people just try to destroy their game disks? It's unreal.
I get the impression that some people trade in their games when they find they can't get them to work. A fair proportion of the second hand games I've bought did not work initially but I can usually get them to work by carefully cleaning the disk.

I get that, but there's "needs some Windex and a soft cloth" and then there's "caught in an air strike on the Gaza Strip." This disc was the latter, and that's the kind of condition I'm talking about. I'm baffled by how many games come in that condition. There's just no way that using a disc with even a small amount of care results in that.

i bought star wars the force unleashed for 100 australian dollars brand new, played it and finished in the same week and returned it to EB games and returned it for 90 cause of a special deal.

Not the best game, but cheap as shit to play through a brand new game.

Monster Rancher 1 and 2 for 100 yen each. About $1.25 at the moment, I believe.

Excellent games. They were marked as "junk" at the shop. A step below second-hand, where no one's sure if they work. Worked perfectly, aside from the odd loading screen freeze, for a number of years.

The Godfather on PC for 2.99$ CAD. And that was back in the day when the CAD was worth about 0.70$ USD.

My friend payed me to take his copy of Barbie Princess adventures he bought for his daughter (before realizing she hated Barbies). It very quickly became toxic fire wood.
