I recently bought an old ps2 game off of Amazon called Gungrave, and I bought it for (no joke) 0.89 pounds, thats 1.40 dollars; from this amazing expiriance I wanted to know if my fellow escapist have had similar moments of awesome.
I remember that game! Holy hell, I'm gonna have to play that again.

OT: I bought Nier for the ps3 off of ebay for $2.50.

I got Civ 3 Complete for £3 and Morrowind GOTY for £8. Two of the best buys I've ever had.

Oh, I also got both On the Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness episodes for like £2.49 also a very good buy.

This depends. Can we use games from, say, the Mac App Store? in which case, You Probably Won't Make It for $0.99. If not, maybe the PA games for $2.99 each maybe I guess.

I think I bought a very old football game in GAME one time for about £0.90 or something similar, so I could buy a new Xbox 360 controller with a reduction of about £10.00 or something of the like. Even better, I then traded the game I bought in at the CEX store and got about £3.00 for it.

The absolute lowest was when Steam accidentally priced some 3D mini-golf game for $0.99 rather than the price it went up to a day later, which was something like $9.99.

Of course, I bought it alongside Bionic Commando at 10% off of retail price, which was conversely about the worst Steam purchase I've ever made, so I guess I was Karmically punished for getting the golf game so cheaply.

Sam and Max Devil's Playhouse (all episodes) for free.
Not to mention countless others...
I love PSPlus...
Then there's Portal for free, Orange box for $1 (physical copy, from a friend), Armored Core Last Raven for three dollars, and S.L.A.I for $4.
That's all I can remember right now

I'll say. I got Serious Sam for 10p. And it worked. A serious bargain.

Do some people just try to destroy their game disks? It's unreal.
I get the impression that some people trade in their games when they find they can't get them to work. A fair proportion of the second hand games I've bought did not work initially but I can usually get them to work by carefully cleaning the disk.

I get that, but there's "needs some Windex and a soft cloth" and then there's "caught in an air strike on the Gaza Strip." This disc was the latter, and that's the kind of condition I'm talking about. I'm baffled by how many games come in that condition. There's just no way that using a disc with even a small amount of care results in that.
