I recently bought an old ps2 game off of Amazon called Gungrave, and I bought it for (no joke) 0.89 pounds, that's 1.40 dollars; from this amazing experience I wanted to know if my fellow escapist have had similar moments of awesome.

I got Company of Heroes for £3 - which considering my desktop broke down to an irrepairable state state after I played it twice - may not have been worth it...

Shadowrun for £5 though was a very pleasant deal considering I put probably 200 hours into that game.

Brand New?
Shin Megami Tensei Persona 4 for only $3.99

Used/older game?
inFAMOUS for $.99 (I convinced the used store owner there was such a thing as a PS6).

I got Prey for 4$. Awesome deal.

But I'd probably say the best deal I got was Minecraft when I got it in Alpha.

The guy was old, I pulled up the old banana shaped PS3 controller pic and told him it was for the PS6. Just hadnt reached American Soil cause Sony wasnt to rake as much profit from the PS3 before releasing the PS4/5/6 over the next 15 years in an attempt to keep the American market down and make revenue solely off the Japanese Market where sony could reign supreme over Micrsoft.

I bought a copy of Street Fighter Alpha 3 a while back for about 5$. Much to my chagrin, the disk was fucked up significantly. Do some people just try to destroy their game disks? It's unreal.

Well, free. Seriously, especially if you have a PC, there's a lot of fun browser based or downloadable games out there.

Ever try Velociraptor Safari? You drive this jeep around and run over Velociraptors, then drag them back to send them to your home time for food. Get points for stunts and crashing the jeep. 3D, Unity engine. Free.

Probably Ultimate Spider-Man for the GameCube a couple of weeks back.
£2.99. I was proper chuffed, I was.

Cheapest new game was probably Wet from Amazon for about £6. And, surprisingly, it was one of my better games of 2010.
I don't know how they made jumping off walls and sliding on your knees while constantly pulling a trigger for 6 hours fun, but they did.

EDIT:
Oh, I also got Portal on the PC for free when Steam made it free for a while.
Already had it for the 360, just thought "Why not get it again?".

It's was a pretty lame excuse, so I imagine that you were really convinsing to pull that one off...

The lowest I paid was $1.06 for Crackdown - but the price was so low because of a trade in.

For flat-out purchasing, I have unfortunately not found too many extremely-low deals, can't think of anything under $10.

Like I said, he was older.

... and yeah, I was pretty convincing.

EDIT: Though I think I used the words exploit the American Market and not Keep it down.

Not necessarily a game, but a DSi system.

I was browsing in my local Gamestop when some guy just walked up to me and gave it away. He said that he already had multiple systems and he couldn't return that one for a cash refund.

I was so happy =D
