For a few years there, Doom was the FPS, and hunting down ammo/weapons was an impediment.

Banjo and Kazooie, treasure trove cove in the sandcastle with the crab, first you gotta unlock the code tho from Bottles in Banjos house by clearing puzzles.

Anyways, my favourite code there was WishyWashyBanjo.

Granted not really a cheat code more of a "skin" code, washing machine banjo.

Aw nuts, someone beat me to GABBAGABBAHEY from Descent already. X) Too bad I can't remember any of the other cheats from that game...

The other one I remember is LAIMLAME from Dark Forces, which turned invincibility on. If I recall correctly, you could also type that in during the cannonball mini-game in Monkey Island 3, and you'd get a message that said "Invincibility ON". Type it again, and it would say "Invincibility STILL ON".

Oh yeah! Also, "razzle dazzle root beer" and "suck blue frogs" from Quest for Glory I and II, respectively. Those activated the cheats, after which you could hit Alt+various letters to do things like cycle through all the moving sprites on the screen, alter your stats, teleport, etc.
