Background story;

So, i was with this girl for a few months when, she tells me she cheated on me. At first i was really pissed off, but she told me it was with a girl and she was just "experimenting". After hearing that i calmed down and figured i didnt really mind.

My question; Do you think cheating with the same sex is better / worse then with the opposite sex?

I honestly cannot understand why someone would cheat on their partner. My opinion is that if you're going to cheat, then you should break up with your partner before you do it, because then it wouldn't be cheating, and we wouldn't have a problem.

If I ever had someone cheat on me I would not forgive them. They would be out on their ass so fast they wouldn't know where the pavement came from. I would never consider cheating on anyone, no matter the reason. But that might be because I'm inherently loyal to anyone I become close to, and the thought of lying to someone isn't a fun one for me.

If I'm in an exclusive relationship, I don't care if she cheats with a guy, a girl, or the family dog, it's one strike and you're out. I have broken off relationships over that.

Exception: If she cheats with a girl and expresses an interest in bringing me in for a threesome (and in fact that's why she was "trying out" the girl in the first place), that's different. Come to Butt-head.

I say no to her, because she obviously isn't my dream girl if she thinks she can just sleep with me without first getting to know me, and form a relationship. I don't want meaningless interactions with other people, because I'm reluctant enough to get involved with others as it is. If she thinks she can pull me away from someone who has taken the time to get to know me, then shes sadly mistaken.

Different people have different views on loyalty, and human relationship. I don't betray people for any reason, because my friends are my friends, and those I have allowed into my life are special to me, not objects that I can abuse as I see fit

But, if you want to make things work out between the two of you- that would definitely involve learning more and more about her reasons and who it was, see what the whole deal was. I still believe that there are some instances where more... open relationships are possible between people. I think it's only a matter of communication and understanding the other person's motives- there are some people that can have sex simply be just sex.

Cheating is wrong, and I'll admit I've cheated before in the past after being cheated on, so my head wasn't thinking so clearly . But if the person I'm with cheats on me and later admits it, I'll give them a second chance. If I have to find out about it, then the relationship is over, for good.
