My sandwich press died about a week ago and our toastie maker is completely fucked from age. You have no idea how sad this makes me. I've been having one a day nearly for the past two and a half years. White bread, tasty cheese, butter, maybe some egg or ham or belgium and tomato sauce. So much love.

Snip... though it is scalding hot when you bite into it so only the brave, daring or stupid eat straight from the maker without cooling a little first.

It is a well know fact that the contents of a freshly cooked toasty are hotter than plasma in the Sun.

Stay well away from that tasty treat until it's cooled, son.

That's one method of satisfying our power needs as a planet using nuclear fusion.

Take a water-proof toastie maker, put your cheese sandwich inside, turn it on and press it; then lob the bloody thing into a pool of water. The extreme heat within binds the bread at an atomic scale, giving off this massive heat energy which boils the surrounding water and produces steam for turbines.

Can't beat a good cheese toastie. I'd probably say my favourite would be white bread with cheddar cheese, maybe a bit of pepper in there too. Or if I'm feeling crazy, half white bread half brown bread.

Although there is nothing worse than over-loading with cheese and it exploding sending molten cheese all over the work surfaces and the insides of the toastie maker. Absolute bastard to clear up.

Multigrain bread, cheddar and either chillies or tomatoes with it, and of COURSE pepper. Fuck yes.
