Wait... wha... 2 billion AMERICAN DOLLARS a year? Butbutbutbutbut... DAMMIT, i totally miss all my chances to enter something:

Twelve years ago i thought: Eh, what do people need so many cell phones for?
Eight years ago: Eh, GAMES and programs on PHONES? FOOLS

Now gold-farming is business? HOW... WHY? What is GOING ON HERE, and why am i years behind everything.

Also: Inhumane labour camps are bad. Well, China is a giant asshole. Hm... something else?

Why don't they use a bot? That is more easy and economical. Isn't it?
Well I suppose they don't have to pay the prisoners or the bots so for them it doesn't matter.

OT: So does this mean that buying WoW gold is supporting an oppressive Communist regime?

...and this is why, in spite of the fact that China owns a huge amount of U.S. debt, they will never ever take over America.

1: Their financial system is dependent on Americans being able to spend money.

2: If they ever decide to go to war with us, we just have to back an uprising against the government and BAM, no more Communist China.

But yeah, living in China must suck (in general).

As hilarious the hypocracy is, someone is going to have a huge headache at china over this.

Bots have difficulty with more complex tasks.

Ah humanity, always coming up with new and creative ways to torture people and finding new ways to abuse existing systems.

I never though the day would come when games could be used like this, but now I have. WoW is a microcosm and now it has truly seen and done everything.

EDIT: 4975 posts... 25 posts and I get a shinny new badge. Whooray!

You would be suprised. In the majority of these mmo's, a player driven economy means theres usually some sort of player driven market where a basic "buy low, sell high" command can make an easy profit. The reason they don't use bots is a much more simple reason-Its easy to tell the difference between a bot and a player spending twelve hours to get money and thus ban the location. Telling the difference between a convict spending twelve hours to get money for others and a player spending twelve hours on the other hand...

Bots have come a long way, but the simple checks still take em out.

I will laugh now and be sad later. Some prisoner is probably getting his ass whipped because some people who actually play the game for real were interrupting his work and caused him to come up short.

wow... I'm now laughing hilariously while rolling my eyes in infuriated madness

Seriously though, this is going to need a much more drastic check of behaviors in order to limit this sort of stuff, without infringing on player's personal liberties...
I sense headaches coming.

And that's a big part of the reason why it's a bad idea to buy gold. If you ever feel led to do so, please make sure the company is not based in China and does not spam in game adverts or get their money from hacking players.
