I've been thinking about getting a cell phone and spent about 4 hours looking for something small, capable of using a few android apps, and reasonably priced. I don't care if it's a flip phone or what. I just can't find anything I like, they just don't make it. Cell phones are ridiculous, my landline phone cost $30 and still works just fine 15 years later, but a smart phone that is twice the size costs $1000 and will be so out of date as to be unusable in 5 years!

I've been kind of leaning towards the Unihertz Jelly Star, but I don't know. It's still over $300 and almost 2cm thick.

You need to stop thinking of a smartphone as a phone and think of them as micro-computers. Because that’s what they are with all the advantages and disadvantages that accompany it. If all you want is phone and text, buy a Nokia 3210 Retro or 2660 Flip and be done with it. If the apps are critical use, then accept the price is gonna be a few hundred bucks.

I dunno where you live, but many Chinese phones can cost less than 100 bucks. They come with a shit ton of bloat ware and ads, but there are ways to remove them. They are quite buggy though.

The Samsung Galaxy A series is pretty popular, they're cheaper but without the bloat ware and ads. My A35 was less than 300 bucks and performs fairly well, and my sister has no problem with the A25.

But see, I don't just want a cheap phone, I want a small phone. Like 3" or smaller. They don't make 'em like they used to.

Smallest smartphone I remember seeing that wasn’t an abject piece of shit was a Nokia Lumia 520 but it ran on Windows Phone which as a platform is deader than Julius Cesar. There are some android units that are small but they’re basically untrustworthy e-waste devices. 6inch is currently the more or less standard size with very few items smaller than that outside of the dodgy rebrand market.

Best advice at this stage is to just go to the retailers and hold a few units in your hand and see how they feel.

Yes they do.
Ok, yeah it's small, I'd love it if it was capable of some android apps and texting pictures.

Probably what I'm going to have to do, I don't know. How is something like that comfortable in your pocket along with wallet and keys?

Honestly, for guys at least, unless you put a modern smartphone in like an Otterbox or similar high protective case, they’re profile is thin enough that I don’t think many people notice.

Well hopefully I'll feel the same, otherwise I'll just leave it at home. I really wish a decent company would make something like the Jelly Star

It's exactly what I want, except it's probably sending all your data to the Chinese government.

Probably. Assert dominance by staring right into the camera while you rub one out to the porn you search up on it.

Ouch, how far you got into it and how many weird mods were you running?
1767 mods, of which I have about 254 ESPs or heavy script mods: the max amount. The rest are ESLs. You can have up to 4096 ESL with a mod called backport ESL support, and at that point, I will stop and play the game because I don't want to endlessly merge mods. All of the are ESMs to stop the 1 million reference bug where if you don't ESM(ESPs) or ESPFE(ESLs) all of them screw up your game eventually due to the 1 million reference limit.

Man, I need 24 plus vram graphics card bad. Again I mod more than I play, and I get easily bored when I play, it's more a creative challenge if anything else...

Huh, that's a lot more than I ever got running, though I tended to always lose interest in Skyrim not long after starting a new game.

Also, I had to change settings on MS Edge for 30 minutes to get rid of Microsoft's ads, and to customize it. I also was able to find this...

But hey at least it's not like various brands/phones in China where you can't even download Adguard.
