Oh man, if "English national identity" can't handle the Union then it's pretty damn weak.

I'm tired of the same old ractionary rubbish. British society is firm, our culture is strong and our way of life its most secure its been for centuries. Besides, you can't "erode" a culture. It's like language, it shifts and flows over time. If we see culture as some iron wall, then we'd still be acting like the Victorians.

And if you think that's a good thing, you're severely mistaken.

I'd like to live in Australia, the US, or a scandanavian country. I've grown to despise England. Taxes are extortionately high, everything is overpriced, there is no justice, heck i can't think of a thing i like about England other than the premier league.

I don't think the "United Kingdom" or "Britain" is going to be around in a decades time though. The Scottish are already pushing for independence and they'll have it within a couple of years I think. When that happens then the Welsh will want it too. I can't see the Northern Irish wanting to be a the only other member with England.

I like the British Flag. it's all stripey, in the way of a big star. Like a re-jigged American one :D

My apologies to all offended. Have a cookie. I wore my typing fingers to the bone making them myself, so all typing errors here are because my keyboard was not meant for writing with one's nose.

Anyway, I've come to a decision: Venus. I figure once I get past the sulphuric atmosphere and 800 degree days, it'll be just peachy. I figure anywhere I go I'm going to have issues with the place (don't get me started on where I am now), but challenges like those instead of mere issues, I may just be up for trying it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonization_of_Venus -> If you read that, the idea of living in a floating city atop of the clouds of Venus actually sounds really cool!

Personally, though, I'd like to just take Canada and maybe place it somewhere a little warmer. I love my country, I just wish it also had an area with the weather/topography of Carribean islands, Austrailia, or heck, even New Zealand.

Even in summer we never get as hot as auzzie. We tend to average 25-30°C.
lol you think 10°C is freezing? until the temp drops to about atleast -20°C, it is not freezing.

Which is the exact kind of weather I'd like. I'm Canadian, I'm not built for terribly warm weather. 25-30 is perfect. During Winter -30°C is quite commonplace and windchill brings it down to -50°C. And I get to work outside in it. :)

Ireland. Point being I'm Irish and there is not better place to be.... Oh you want some descriptive reason. Ok well there's trees, lots of land and more trees... and the weather is great (always freezing cold). There's always a lovely amount of alcohol lieing around... We get to pick up leprecorns at the end of rainbows to discuss our finances...
