Wasn't he Dooku? Don't many people dislike the Star Wars prequels?
That is why they weren't as awful as they could have been. Also: Liam Neeson.
But yeah... he was Dracula in the Hammer Films back in the day... with Tarkin (Peter Cushing) as Van Hellsing.
In other words: epic win.

He's in so many good movies . . . .
Is he? I have to say, aside from LotR, I've mostly seen him in bad movies like The Mummy or The Devil Rides Out. And while I loved those, not even Christopher Lee could make Attack of the Clones a good film.

One way or the other, I like him a lot. And Peter Cushing [http://youtu.be/r1ZaxtrABws]. And Vincent Price [http://youtu.be/VQvCrg4fZTM]. (All of whom do wonderful self-parodies in the otherwise dull comedy called House of the Long Shadows.)

Christopher Lee has been is some pretty bad films... But even that didn't made him less awesome or badass.

his work with rhapsody (and his cameos in no-budget fan-films about a pnp-rpg ) where the last hints i needed to accept his awesomeness

i also loved how this piece came into existence.
Rhapsody (italian metal band) asked him to work with them on their next album. To the surprise of them, he said yes. He came to the studio and they presented him the intro to the album that he should read. He was terribly dissapointed..because he thought he was ment to sing. So they instantly and overjoyed wrote him a part in the lyrics and since Lee is a trained classical singer, they performed this song in Italian, German, French and English. (which He obviously did way better then rhapsody's singer, who still is well understandable)

There's [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christopher_Lee#Involvement_in_World_War_II"]even more badass to the man, that you might not know about.[/a] Especially Churchill's Special Operations Executive (SOE) which was informally known and referred to as the "Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare" and was the inspiration for James Bond- as Ian Fleming, the character's author was ALSO part of the SOE. Christopher Lee then became a Bond villain himself.

The man is also a direct descendant of [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlemagne"]Charlemagne[/a]- portraying his ancestor on video and in recording of a [a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlemagne:_By_the_Sword_and_the_Cross"]symphonic metal concept album[/a]

No, sir, I do not believe Sir Lee has the mystical movie-healing capabilities that you purport him to. Three words that disprove your theory: THE GOLDEN COMPASS. If two minutes of Dracula sitting pow-wow with the legion of doom while handling a fer-de-lance like a Chinese music ball doesn't salvage your flick, nothing will.
