Basically, he offended people thanks to mocking the anniversary of murdered prostitutes last night on the new series of Top Gear.

I found it funny, and so did roughly 7 million others.

I wish people would calm down and just get on with their lives. Hey, if you don't want to watch it. don't watch it.

I for one found it very, very funny. Very good start to the new series as well. I liked the part when they broke James May's piano.

I don't know who that guy is. I barely know what a lorry is (I wouldn't if not for WW2 games). I don't find that offensive. Maybe a little funny.

Clarkson is an misogynistic, chauvenistic ass. And he's a very funny ass.

Same can't be said for Brand.

Can I just ask why the frag we're 'celebrating murder anniversaries' anyway?

Perhaps a little dry but really you cannot say he meant anything offencive against the murder victims. I thought it was quite funny and its not the worst thing he's said on TV.

Maybe I'm callous, but I couldn't care less when prostitutes get murdered. It's not like prostitutes are valuable members of society, they are usually crack addicts who turn trick to feed their habit.

Kinda off-topic, but kinda still on-topic...I read a story once about a guy who got 10 years in prison for raping a prostitute, meaning he fucked her and didn't pay or whatever. How is that rape? It's theft of services isn't it? And since she only charged 20 bucks a trick it wouldn't even be a theft worth prosecuting.

I HATE Jeremy Clarkson, and whilst I don't think that was particularly offensive, I find the man himself, his dress sense, his appearance jokes and reviewing offensive, highly offensive.

In general terms of 'achieving' comedy but upsetting people whilst doing it ala Ross Brand Amstell etc etc. It's possible to make people laugh without making other people cry, why not make more people happy?

To people who complain too much about things? Grow up, ya wee betties.

To people who complain about things without listening to the broadcast or context, you are helping nothing.

To Jeremy Clarkson? Fuck you.

I'm really, fucking, sick of the mob rule that seems to be taking over our media.

People at the BBC lost their careers because of the exaggerated crap involving Brand, and I wouldn't be surprised if something equally stupid happens as a result of this.

Take the example with Brand;

On his show, Ross blurts out; "He fucked your granddaughter!"

Russell Brand, however, is the one to resign, as are, it seems, a couple people in high positions at the BBC. Only two people complained the night the show broadcasted.

As soon as the Guardian got wind of it, thousands of complaints flood in.

Oh, and yes, I listen to the show, therefore, in a logical world, my opinion should hold more weight than the thousands that didn't and complained. At the time that comment was made I was laughing, I was not wetting myself with the sheer terror and offense caused.

I love Top Gear, as well, but if two comedians who cumulatively pull in at least 13 million viewers aren't safe, then I'm anxious as to the result this comment will produce.
