Hollywood certainly isn't filled with mature movies (see: Scary Movie, Jackass, etc), but people don't judge the entire movie industry based upon those films.

Yeah, this is the truth. And it is BS, but what are we going to do? Once we have respect as a medium, we can get away with it. However, right now people are trying to equate video games with pornography and their most cited example is a stupid immature game. I'm not demanding this game be halted... I'm just sad that it is being made.

Let me put this in a different context for you: I'm an Australian, and our problems with game classification is well documented. We have only recently started getting somewhere in our fight for rights as adult gamers. Our classification board banned Left 4 Dead 2, which is nowhere near as grotesque as Bulletstorm.

Bulletstorm got classified without a hitch. If our board let that game through without batting an eyelash, it can't be that bad in the minds of those that would judge us.

Well, look at it this way. No sane person will ever judge an entire medium based upon a singular title. Any judge would simply laugh that off. And, personally, I would be fairly annoyed if every game out there was seeking to deliver a poignant experience that speaks to the human soul. If I want a great story and artistic design, I go for something like Mass Effect. However, I also have times where I want to load up something absurd and just unleash hell on a bunch of wacky characters (see: Serious Sam).

There is nothing inherently wrong with an immature game, just as there is nothing inherently wrong with an immature movie. Idiots continue to try and whitewash videogames as an entire genre by holding up Postal as "all that videogames represent," but people know better.

Ok, that was just awesome! I still liked the Mike Capps one better, but I serious laughed when Cliffy B said he made a game where you can shoot out a guys asshole...

I am really looking forward to this game now.
