At least the future setting can allow some weapon creativity. The guns are the game, they are your driving force through the plot. To be honest, i am quite bored now with real/realistic weapons in games. Another deagle, another famas...oh look, another predator drone! More humans with suspicious accents! Give me the quad barrelled shotgun from Shadow Warrior any day. The cerebal bore from Turok, or most of the weapons from turok. The pixelator from Ratchet and Clank. Every game and their cat uses modern day weapons now. Yes, that wasn't literal speak, it hardly ever is with this blasted brain.
