CoD Weapon Ideas?

I've heard talk that the next Call of Duty will be released sometime this year, and is being made from the ground up by Infinity Ward (thank God). Apparently it will be called Call of Duty 5, seeing as World at War was not technically number 5, and will be set in the near future. I can't help but wonder, if it is indeed set in the near future, what kind of weapons will we be given? What do you think they will include, and what ideas for new weapons of your own do you have?

Automatically unloads entire ammo supply if you die and rigs them to explode.
Can also make waffles.

Alright then, if it's random weapons we're going for...

A gun that constantly hums 'The Mexican Hat' and shoots rabid honey badgers. It reloads in 0.4 seconds and has a maximum ammo capacity of 10'000 badgers. It also screams if there is an enemy nearby.

There been a lot of net moaning in regards to whether the next CoD would be (too)futuristic, I think IW are taking the best approach they can being totally contemporary, there are numerous firearms around today that could be classed as futuristic when really they're just state-of-the-art! I think the P90 was the most outlandish weapon in CoD4 and that was invented in the late 80's!

Yeah, so you when you go to 'knife' people you jsut see a streak of light and blood going everywhere XD

Maybe ray guns? o0... or just slightly more modern guns... ermm... most assault rifles being bullpup configuration? lower recoil on guns? experimental metal-shard-firing technology? who knows.

It needs more balance, the XM8(all forms), and greater weapon attachment variation. Definately more guns in general as well, the lack of the AUG, FAMAS and the L-85 made me unhappy. The game needs more non-american guns. Pretty much all the guns in CoD:4 were American or German.

Well, not only has Infinity Wards community manager called the game by that title, but its the only helpful thing I could contribute to this terrible disscussion idea.

All you did was take one of the most frequently asked forum questions ever and add Call of Duty.

They need to do the Ghost Recon thing. I mean get weapons that are in development and make them available in the game. They also need a Weapon customization option that is deep. They need more than just attachments and camouflage, you should have an option to put decals and logos and stuff on your weapons, really make that M8 your own...

I think that it is all about the feel of the guns, and that they look like weapons, that might be.(Not the Halo Fisher Price crap) and improve on the customizable aspect of the create a class like xxcloud417xx said.

They should add the FN2000.
