Although I like Battlefield a lot, as well.

Only in the case of BlaOps. MW2 got patched for the first 3 months or so, but hardly to balance and more so to fix. Which the patches failed to do.Satsuki666 said:Except for the fact that it does fix all of its glitches and when something is overpowered they put out a balancing patch to fix it.
I state it once so its automatically a Battlefield 3 aimed thing? How does that work, the whole thing was aimed at CoD, I only mentioned Battlefield 3 for when I was talking about style.Satsuki666 said:I honestly am not sure why you are making fun of BF3 when I was talking about CoD. In case you didnt know they are two different games. I have to wonder did you actually look at anything they said about mw3 because your arguement like many many others has been disproven by articles on this site multiple times.Aprilgold said:Madam or Sir, with all due respect, a critic looking at Call of Duty in general is a new born FPS. What does this mean? Well, simply put, every CoD game is so super simplistic that a new born could pick it up. Lets point out flaws, one, it has no style to it, look at Battlefield 3, that is what it should look like. By style, I mean if its a serious shooter, put in a dark, depressing feel. Second, much of Online is just about getting medals, OH LOOK, YOU BEAT THIS LEVEL, YOU GET THIS SHINY BADGE TO WEAR! Schrodinger would be very happy to see his work being used so much. And lastly, it lacks creativity. Each and every new CoD boasts one new mechanic, and none proceed that number. And many changes are small and don't fix the broken, laid back mechanics.
Except for the fact that it does fix all of its glitches and when something is overpowered they put out a balancing patch to fix it.Overall, its a shooter thats just lazy with its design, can't be bothered to fix its glitches, balance itself or to add anything really new. I'm going to use this argument to my advantage, Mario, with each and every iteration creates a brand new experience and never is the same as the last game. Sure they carry similarities, but its never the same experience.
There idiots for making boat loads of money? Man, I wish I was an idiot!FreakSheet said:Because Activision are idiots. That's why I don't like it. Compare it to Valve and TF2 who have been updating the game constantly, and recently made it free to play; and Activision who release it year after year, charge for map packs ($15 as well, and there's SEVERAL of them) and now have the balls to charge for stat tracking.
Did I mention TF2 came with Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Portal?
Have you not been in the gaming industry for the last year? Must I mention all the terrible shit E.A has done? The Dante?s Inferno boycott by religious extremist, who were actually people E.A hired so they could get more publicity for the game, the Medal of Honor censorship, the Dead Space 2 commercial, Online passes, Origins, and that little thing at E3, where they said that ?we?re going to take down Call of Duty and Activision this year?, along with BF3 commercial.Gam3rzulu said:I Dislike COD becuase of the developers behind the game, Activision, (that and t5he lack of fighter jets) they are extreemly greedy and manage to pull a game out from its nether every year, 2 years of production time is not enough time to create a Single Player Experience thas more than 4 hours gameplay, now there is Call of Duty: Elite, which is a monthly service for a fee, whilst battlefield offers the EXACT SAME SERVICE FOR FREE, then there are the overpriced DLC Map packs, (Which DICE offers for free) then there is the fact that there is nothing new about the game but some more maps, a fancy grenade luancher, and some new kill streaks. Come on, at least Halo 3 got a graphics update. Battleifield, well, we all loved battlefield 2, and Battlefield 3 will not be like Bad Company 2, yes, we will see the same driving mechanics and the same shooting controls, as well as the destructable cover, instead the maps will be more open, large, more weapons with an interesting feel, IMMERSION, it is not realistic, (no game is) but it FEELS realistic, becuase its like your there, considering that you actually have arms and legs and aren't a pair of hands and a gun with a camera masking taped to them. The maps are actually balanced with room for snipers and chocke points, along with suppression points, ablilities and Fighter jets, that and the new bi pod, and the ability to drag your injured teamate into cover to revive him, oh yes and did I mention fighter jets, it feels so good, and fighter jets, FIGHTER JETS!
yeah EA Has made mistakes, but at least their games are of higher quality and you aren't being ripped off with every purchase, and about origin, well polietly, who cares, I have steam, so whats the difference with origin, basically its just another addon I have to run,id rather hang with EA than with Activision, at least I get good games for relativley good prices with free map packs and a game that will last longer than a year, considering BF4 if it is made is long off the gaming chartsShadowRatchet92 said:Have you not been in the gaming industry for the last year? I've finished both modern warfare 1 and 2 and played a considerable amount of hours in both's multiplayer. I hardly noticed a difference and I've been keeping track of Modern Warfare 3. Again, haven't noticed a difference. Even that new survival mode is a rip off of it's own zombie mode without the zombies and some kill streaks thrown in.Satsuki666 said:Dark Knifer said:Hey, it's that thread again... OT: For me, I hate it for what it represents. A dead end. It's just releasing the same gameplay, same weapons, same everything with such bare updates that you could fit in a patch, then have the guts to charge full price for the game and then even more for the 11 million map packs they sell and now they charge for bloody stats tracking? Something that's been free for every other online shooter?
I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have heard nothing about mw3 and are just talking out of your ass. Or well never really played a CoD game for more then twenty minutes. Because if you have you got to be pretty dam delusional to actually believe any of the bullshit you wrote.
