CoD4 or Black Ops

So I don't want to start a flame war but I need to buy CoD4 or Black Ops for steam and I can only get one. On console I played CoD4 very, very extensively, but when Black Ops came out I was already moving away from console towards PC so I didn't get to play it very much. So my question to you is, what would be more fun? A game that I've already played a ton of on a new system so it may be a bit refreshing or a brand new slightly worse game that has mixed reviews?

Well, CoD4 is probably better, but I I would go with BlOps just out of how much you've played it.

However, if you can, get WaW. It's my favourite.

Get COD4. Black OPs is terribly unbalanced. Submachine guns are the most powerful guns,knifing is inconsistant (sometimes people can lunge at you sometimes they knife the air), hit detection on knifing is terrible (people knife the air beside me and I die), game lobby almost always closes after one match, ground war is nearly nuplayable on splitscreen. etc...

Get COD 4.

I have both and I play Blops quite a bit, but the maps are terrible, the spawning is terrible and the weapons are broken as fuck.

Go with CoD4, it's the best of the franchise in my opinion.

Call of Duty 4 is one of my all time faves. I've just got Black Ops and it's not that bad, but It's not as good as CoD4 . If you're talking about the Multiplayer, I can't help you there, as I don't know what it's like for CoD4 on PC.

Really it depends on whether you want something new or if you stick with something you know you like.

CoD4 is still the better choice compared to Modern Warfare 2 or Black Ops. But World At War is a better alternative if you want something as good as CoD4 but with some variety like Zombie Mode.

my opinions on all the recent cod games are as follows
Cod4 > Blops > WaW > MW2

Although im not sure how many people are playing cod4 still on the pc, and anyone left playing are probably quite annoying and elitist (not all but probably alot)

Well I would say the Black Ops is good to get. Although there are little to no improvements over CoD 4 in multiplayer except it is more imbalanced. It is like CoD 4 took a step side ways. Campaign is good but plays like an action movie.

CoD 4 is just an overall better game in my opinion. The campaign plays better but Black Ops would have a better campaign if somethings were changed. CoD 4 has a more balanced and less saturated multiplayer. Black Ops has way too many weapons.

Well blobs is the better game overall, unless we talk pc version then it´s downright broke.

I would go for cod4 for pc and leave blobs for the consoles.

Well it's essentially all the same game, but since you already played CoD4 I'd say get blops, you get something new and alot more people to play with.

But I will say CoD4 is a better game, IW just does things right.

I'd say CoD4, I found it the funnest and least milked or the modern series and it just seemed to work smoothly in Multi.
However, how many people still playing it online is another question.

COD4 is infinitely better than Black Ops.

The lag in Black Ops is infuriating, never had it that bad in COD4. Plus being an IW game, COD4 has the better campaign.
