In Fallout 3 I started collecting big weapons and stashing them in a locker in my house in Megaton. Anything from Flamers, Mini-nukes, Laser Gatling Guns (including Vengeance), and even the dreaded MIRV. And I never used any of them.

Also, Alien Blaster ammo. Found a stash of it in a crater under an up-turned army truck. I've never once fired the alien blaster or firelance...

I only collect useful stuff, and some Abe Lincoln paraphernalia to display at my house. I have so many caps, and nothing to spend it on since next to no one sells .44 magnum rounds for Lincoln's Repeater. I sort of regret specializing in small guns. Also
Why would you regret that? Majority of the guns fall under small.

You know, I was all about the collection until I hit level 20 and found I could crush almost anything. At that point, it felt more like scrounging and I just hauled ass through the rest of the content to get it over with.
Ditto, I did so much wandering I managed to hit the cap before I even discovered Rivet City!

After that it was just an easy speed-run. Most powerful weapon I used was the Plasma Rifle.

I've kept one or two of pretty much everything I've run across in Fallout 3, but I love the Nuka-Cola trucks. I'll drop something that I need to make room for one of those.

In all three Fallout games I've tried to get one of every type of weapon, it's best in Fallout 2 since there's so many guns.

I will be installing a slow leveling mod.

I collect Bobbleheads in Fallout 3, COG tags in Gears of... Wait, you mean useless stuff?

Well in Fallout 3 I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much Nuka Cola it's utterly pointless. In oblivion, I used to gather bonemeal. Eventually I realised I was at the end of the game, so I ate it all.

In Fallout, Morrowind, & Oblivion I was working on skull collections. In Fallout I was collecting the Jumpsuits.

I'm the exact opposite -- I prefer a minimalized inventory and only hoard stuff that could be useful. Throughout Fallout 3 and Oblivion, I would go through my inventory and dump what I didn't need. Same with Mass Effect, though that was harder to manage because of the pisspoor inventory system and weapons that all looked the same.

In Morrowind I colected all the rare gem type things (ebony, rubys, emeralds, glass, that rare ice from the expansion), never sold or used any of those.

Yeah, but I almost never get ammo for my favorite gun. .44 rounds are really hard to come by, and the rest of my small guns are a cavalcade of mediocrity. I'm still working on acquiring The Terrible Shotgun.

Baldur's Gate II Throne of Bhaal. I had made a point of searching all the recipes. Morrowind, I had almost all the weapons in the PWNZOR book of weapons (don't remember the name).

In fallout 3 I horde at least one of EVERY weapon and clothing I come across (preferably in mint condition, otherwise I'll take others I find home to repair it).

I also have a huge stash of teddy bears on my bed... because for some odd reason blowing up another human's skull across the wall is fine and dandy, but leaving a lonely, perfectly fine and helpless teddy bear in a desolated wasteland makes me depressed... It's also hilarious to use them as rock-it ammo...

...Also some random crap I thought I'd probably grab for my house if it was that was the real me. Like a camera and a hot plate.
