Committing Suicide: Could you do it?

I find suicide to be a weak selfish act in reality

but in this awkward situation, I COULD, but I think I would have a lot more fun going down fighting, and my utter hatred for the human race would make me like the idea of becoming a zombie and eating people

One of my greatest fears is losing my mind to something else, so if it comes to being a shambling zombie or a quick bullet followed by sweet oblivion, then I am going for the latter

call me insane but I'd fight till thier was on bullet left then shootmyself as the zombies eat me. I don't know why but I just like that idea

I've attempted suicide on three seperate occassions due to stress IRL, so I could easily see myself losing it in a zombie apocalypse and painting the walls with my gray matter.

It'd certainly be better than being devoured alive, at least.

Also, just a heads up, zombies are already dead, so they can't actually 'starve' to death, so you'd really be waiting for them to rot to the point of being immobilized instead, which could take less than 2 weeks, if you live in a nice wet, hot, and humid climate.

But if you don't have access to water you'd still die of dehydration within a few days, rendering their eventual rotting moot.

Well its a shame you used a zombie apocalypse as an example as that would be the absolute funnest apocalypse to try and get through. I'd totally try and make it through. On the off chance that killing yourself IS an unforgivable sin (i choose not to rule out any scenario, i mean we are talking about a zombie apocalypse here) i wouldn't take my own life.

If there's no other choice, then yeah. I'd say I could do it. If I was with someone or someone was nearby though. I'd choose to try and fight to get out alive with them.

I'd wait until they were actually upon me, before I could pull the trigger. I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't be able to do it unless it was a matter of being eaten alive or shooting myself in the head. Wouldn't really hang around waiting to starve, though. I'd hope for some kind of a Shaun of the Dead resolution to my problem.
