Have you backed a completed kickstarter (specifically a game)? Have you played a game that was originally kickstarted? What was your experience with it and what did you think about the finished product?
I'm interested in seeing some concrete experience with videogame kickstarter projects and how the turn out. There's a lot of talk about the potential advantages, disadvantages of kickstarter and it's hard to go a month without someone singing it's praises in the videogame industry, or foretelling utter doom. But very rarely do they ever have more than anecdotal evidence of one failed project or one runaway success, so it would interesting to see a broader spectrum of what actually happens. It's important because trying to judge the risks involved is a key part of backing, but without some wider experience it's hard to make that call.
I've backed a lot of projects but they're all fairly big games that haven't been finished yet. What are the games that have already come out of kickstarter? There was FTL which was well received, Shadowrun Returns which was supposedly good but not exceptional...
