That's a shame. Ark isn't really my kind of genre. I guess I'll be missing out. Then again, that's probably a good thing. The poor fellow I would end up creating would probably be lacking in a certain... quality (don't like dicks that much). I hope everyone else enjoys it though.

I THOUGHT I would like Ark, but when I did get to try it out, it was terribly boring? I don't understand what people find in that game. It must be the Minecraft crowd of preteens that don't want a videogame experience as much as crafting and fooling around.

Hard for me to say, since I tend to avoid multiplayer. I recall reading about how some multiplayer gamers really enjoy self-expression through gaming, tricking out their characters and pulling off in-game shenanigans in front of other players. Given all the things you can do in Ark to customize your character, and the different ways you can interact with others, perhaps that's what they like about it.

Well I'm glad they have the balls to do it.

Nudity in games has been such a hairy issue that they might as well go balls out.

Of course, some people are gonna go nuts over this.

If the game is good, it's gonna come out swinging.

Well I'm sure the devs weren't just dicking around with this one.

The process of crafting the tools must have been long and hard.

Not the same as putting a penis up on screen. If we're going to talk about boobs and buts then we'll have to talk about boobs and butts. If you want shirtless men in games, they are around. The difference is that they aren't sexualized. I guess it would be possible to sexualize the male chest, I'm just not the guy to ask about that. Butts, on the other hand, are a little... rare...er. I guess. We could push for more naked men in general, but the difference will always be whether it's been created to get someone off or just to... exist. Typically speaking, games don't sexualize men like, or as often as, they do women.

We get the first videogame with a bouncing penis out of 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 videogames with bouncing boobs, and people already complain. Imagine what women have to put up with, if ONE occasion in which the opposite ahappens is enough to annoy certain people.

I'm not complaining. I actually rather like this, I'm just saying that vaginas are rare...er. And again, boobs/butt =/= Penis. Men have boobs and butts too, society just doesn't think they're sexy.

Also, this game features nude vaginas just as it features nude penis. So I don't see the problem.

I'd actually argue that the fact that you're comparing boobs and butts to male genitalia is proof of a bit of discrimination right there. Women can't have sex with boobs(no more so than they could with their hands or mouth at least), so why should we compare them to penises? If anything, they should be compared to male ass and chest, which media in general are much more liberal over showing than female ass and chest. Now, I'm not telling all the guys to cover them nips, I just think that we should step back and look at the fact that the actual female genitalia is so very rarely shown in mainstream media, and yet a nice big cock in Fight Club is just a throw-away gag. Honestly, the fact that breasts are sexualized to the point of being inappropriate seems unfair. What should be done about it? I couldn't tell you. There are better people than I that are having that discussion, and I'd rather not mindlessly add bullshit to an already giant pile of shit that is the discussion of sexism in modern culture.

Now, I am happy to see more just casual nudity in media, I want that more, because I think nudity and even sex is just too taboo in our society that it'd be good to work at normalizing it. As for them having sliders for cock length and such but not showing yet of having major vagina customization is, again, what I'd call discrimination. Now, I wouldn't call it sexist, because this is physical and aesthetic customization, and so by definition the male and female bodies are inherently different. If you get the option to run around with frothy flappy vagina lips, then I want the opportunity to have my man with bossoms the size of watermelons, and an ass so puckered it looks as though it's been lit on fire. And asshole options for the female as well. My point being, the two bodies will be different, that's why you picked male or female in a game without sex, because the one you went with aesthetically matched what you envisioned as your character you're playing, so having different options isn't saying one sex is inferior to the other, just different. This is the biggest issue I think a lot of people don't understand, sexism or racism isn't the same as discrimination, and not all discrimination is bad. Everyone discriminates everyday, it's why we have a place to discuss video games specifically rather than this just being a site for everything because they don't want to exclude anyone. It's why Dark Souls is well liked despite not really reaching well outside of its fanbase. Beauty products that work with the skin have to discriminate because there are multiple skin tones. Sex toys discriminate because it's for or is supposed to be a specific orface.

This probably was poorly organized and not well put together, but I guess my point is I'm happy to see more casualization of nudity, I just think that there is more that can be done as well for it. I say this in the same sense that Ocarina of Time was revolutionary, but by today's standards it could be better. So Conan, good on you for doing better, but for people of the future, here's what would also be awesome. Give me that puckered ass, because I need more ugly ass characters.

Also to ask people to look at discrimination vs sexism, where it does overlap, and what we should do to make things better, but that's almost secondary to my first point. Give me a puckered ass.
