You can, if you post 1000 posts without getting put on probation/suspension, etc.
You can do it whenever, as long as you don't break rules during the try

The Neo badge says 'Over 5000 posts without incurring moderator wrath [6 month minimum]'
So, if I understand correct, you can get it whenever, as long as you ge over 5000 posts in under 6 months... without incurring moderator wrath.

I would like confirmation on this, though

I seem to recall a moderator (whose name escapes me) saying that it's a one shot deal.

Neonbob has the highest post count on this site for his regularity in Forum Games. It's also why a lot of people don't know of him, as that's a fairly small group, or used to be. I'm not actually sure what happens there nowadays.

IdealistCommi is pretty much a newer version of Neonbob (been here about half the time as Neon, has about half as many posts through the same technique as well as user groups).

And with the other three I think he was just listing admins from the badge hunters usergroup, though he did miss off two.

And I'm not famous god damnit.
