I used ps3 home and store as an example. There is nothing on xbox live or whatever anythiung like it...and there never will be because it would be useless as people would have to pay for it.
There isn't a 'Home' on the 360, because it's pointless. Even PS3 owners have said it sucks. Sony has to do a lot of overhauling in order for it do even remotely become fun. And you know what? New clothes, furniture, and apartments all cost...money! So don't acuse Microsoft of being money whores, when
every company is trying to make money. That includes Sony. That includes Nintendo.

Well, its the principle of it. Think. Microsoft-a COMPUTER company, who sell COMPUTERS and online services and softweare etc., makng a console for online and making it cost extra for the online capability, the whole point of it and the livelihood of the fans and community. It simply dosnt make sense as a marketing option. It does not cost on any other console, so why are microsoft taking the community out of next generation?
If it's such a bad marketing idea, then why are there millions paying? And you know how much it costs? Less then 5 dollars a month. I spend more then that on COKE in a WEEK for Pete's sake! It also pays to help keep the infrastructure running smoothly! So it really makes sense. Especially in recent news that shows Sony is gouging the developers in bandwidth costs to make up that income.
