No it's right. A 100% increase implies doubling it, because the number has gone up by 100% or itself again. A 50% indicates it's gone up by half of what it was before in addition to what it was at, and a 150% indicates it's gone up by itself and a half again. Therefore since 285% is close to 300%, round it up, and you have an increase that is quadrouple what it was at before.

Also check the math:

2007: 11,074

2009: 42,615

11,000 x 4 = 44,000

Understand?

why would you steal a console? steal a PC instead
Because PCs are both heavier and harder to set up than a console. If these people were capable or getting the tech necessary to run PC games, they wouldn't have to resort to stealing

Why would you steal consoles out of a gamers house. That's the easiest way to get beaten to death by a plastic lightsaber that ABSOLUTELY EVERY MALE UNDER THE AGE OF 50 HAS.

Wouldn't it be more prudent to steal from a store anyway, you'd get more resale value for a new console, and most video game stores have no heavy security. (not that I'm reccomending anyone do this.)

No one will ever take my xbox becuase I keep it in the frige (also a good why to keep it from overheating).
Hahah, that is the randomest thing I've ever heard. Aren't you worried about water spilling on it or something? Or is it only my family members that are too lazy to put the lid back on the water jug?

Wouldn't that be the most humiliating way to die? However, if someone tried to steal mine I'd use my extremely blunt katana. I think in some ways it'd be just as painful than a sharp one :D

Right.. Makes sence. Just kinda overlooked the fact that "quadrupled" is 300%, not 400% increase....

Why steal a console when you can just buy one online for $5-100?

::thinks about that for a moment::

Ohh...right....

This is why my account is passworded. They may take my PS3, but they'll never be able to use it.
