I dont like the keyboard layout for the witcher 2, and really dont care to learn a new mapping of the keyboard. Does anyone have controller recommendations for the PC? Preferably something to work with the witcher 2. Wireless /wired is fine.

I've got an Xbox 360 controller and that works completely fine for all games that support controllers.

I don't have to fuss with drivers, do I?

You plug it in. It works. That's my experience with it. It's a Microsoft product, after all, so they've made it compatible. I believe the same is with all Xbox controllers, including Xbox One.

Worse case scenario, you'll have to use Windows update with no restart but that said I haven't gotten any new drivers for it for a long while now.

I use a wired 360 controller, and it works well. Never had to deal with any drivers or other form of installation.

a word of caution, if you have a wireless 360 controller, you'll need to buy a wireless gaming receiver for it to work, they aren't that pricey though, they cost between 10-$20 USD. The play and charge kit won't turn your wireless controller into a wired one as far as your PC is concerned.
