So I'm totally stealing this idea from @DoPo but I thought it would be an interesting experiment. So lets put down some guidelines.
1. Feel free to change the topic in your post, but the first part of your post has to be relevant to the post before yours.
2. Keep it civil
3. If possible lets try to avoid the hot button topics we all know will cause the thread to be locked/start a huge fight.
4. Please try and think of this as a safe place to chat about random things.
Let us begin:
So I got home from work last night, to find out that the city had been scrapping sidewalks. For those of you who don't live in the winter areas of the world what this means is that they take their little sidewalk plow and scrap all the packed snow/ice off the sidewalk leaving them as just concrete again. They do this near the end of winter to help keep the side walks clear (while it really just makes a nice channel for water and ice to build up making it more dangerous IMO).
Anyways, so I got home last night to find they have done this to my street... I now have two 10-15cm speed bumps in my driveway, which my car bottoms out on trying to get in and out of my yard. While I understand that the one on the edge of the sidewalk and my driveway will be my responsibility to fix up (ramp so that I can get in and out) as far as I'm concerned the city should be responsible for cleaning the boulevard portion. (That part between the sidewalk and the road which is technically city property in my city) What do you guys think?
