"Cool" and "luncbox" just dont belong in the same sentince.
Not true, I have the Fallout 3 lunchbox you get for buying the Special Edition. Coolest lunchbox ever. Shame that I never pack a lunch for anything, that thing really is beautiful.
I decided I'd take mine to school one day with my lunch in it, and found when I got home it had a several dents in the side. It hasn't left my bookshelf since.

OT: Some steampunk looks cool, some is ugly. This thing just looks stupid.

I feel like any food going into that box would come out smelling and tasting of 60 year old pneumatic lubricant.

And so I can manipulate time with this and store my Capri-Suns? You have a deal.

That bad boy is staying right on my shelf, next to my +1 Cool Bobblehead.

Steampunk is so fucking pointless.

That looks absolutely hideous. So much is intended for aesthetics but the result just looks far to "busy".
Yep, total agreement. Steampunk is about elegance, not "how many gears can I stick on this thing." Looks like the paint job was done with an eraser. And are those rivets or a Bedazzler run amok?
You are absolutely right, yet I still really want this lunchbox...

By the way, the other steampunk items on that website look a lot better.

That looks like the lunchbox a Big Daddy in Rapture should be carrying around. It looks so freaking awesome! Where do I buy it and how much?
Wow! In my mind I was thinking "This thing looks like it belongs in Rapture!".

I can imagine trying to convince a customs officer at the airport that it was just a 'toolkit/lunchbox'.

I already get 'special' treatment with my normal electronics toolkit.

The difficulties I encountered when I lost the key and gaffer taped up my toolkits seams (to stop it opening mid transit) then tried to fly through 4 airports is legendary (very close to being strip searched...)

I got one too. It's awesome.

I'd buy that steampunk lunchbox. Now where's my Cyberpunk one?

why does a lunchbox need a gauge of any kind? can it measure the volume of my lunch? does it double as a Geiger counter?

If they added functionality to those things on the outside it would be awesome. maybe it can have a inside spit that cooks weenies and uses the gauge to tell you what temperature the meat is. That would be awesome.

Cluttered. Nice concept, ruined by over-ambition. Still, $40 is a rather paltry sum.

Ew...I hate Steampunk.
What, really? I have to wonder, have you ever seen the steampunk laptop [http://www.datamancer.net/steampunklaptop/steampunklaptop.htm]? Because that thing is gorgeous, and literally every single person I have ever shown it to reacted in the same way: "Holy crap, I totally have to own that thing!"

It's almost awesome, but it's just too busy with pointless add-ons.

If you actually bought one of these and took it somewhere public you'd get arrested quick-status. They'd think you have a nuclear bomb or something. It looks like a portable nuke. Dude, someone would call the cops on you.
And yeah, there's that as well.
