No, actually, I think he was refering to the Hechler & Koch 416 (AKA the HK416)

I think it's actually starting to replace the M4s and M16s as the standard assualt rifle in the US.

I dont think the M416 is replacing anything at all at the moment, and at the time of the XM8 testing it most certainly was not the standard assault rifle of the army that he refers to. That would be either the M4 or the M16.

I wouldn't equate 'coolest' with 'biggest'. For me, it's class. And this is ALL class.

On a gun trolling note the Desert Eagle is one of the most impractical pistols on the planet.
