Because of this, most of the time it would be up to the Frenchman to decide what someone's name was to be. I've met people with the Italian last name equivalents of Sh*thole, Slimebucket, and Name Here. In fact, my favorite name was probably Ilare Nomequizzi, which means "Silly Name Here".
