I'm doing a Ryu cosplay at Halloween. Say what you like, I'm trying to get into it, but being a student, I don't really have time or money to buy the materials.
I've been getting into cosplay as a hobby for a while, though I've only been able to put together two costumes, with a fair amount of success
This involved about 45 minutes of work from my friends to get my hair to stand up properly.

This one is actually a screen used costume that I won in an auction a while back, again not one I've actually managed to wear to a convention yet, I was hoping to a couple of weeks ago, but decided not to.
Whatever though, the screen-used part is awesome. I was about to ask you how you made that shirt so I could copy it for my BSG engineer costume I have in mind but now I see you probably have no idea yourself.
OT: Haven't sported it publicly somewhere yet but I've got a Portal scientist coat. And full working plans for a radio, I just need to get my lazy ass up and start.

I'd cosplay but I live in Australia and work/study in rural areas, so it kind of limits my options.
I do love looking at cosplay images, my favourite thing is not quality of costume, but the right amount of osbcurity of character. Who cares if you're one of a dozen Spidermen, but if you're Scarlet Spider or 2099 Spiderman now that's awesome. My favouirte one I saw from the recent comic-con was Rojhaz from Marvel 1602

I've done Riku (KHII - post transformation) and a Starfleet officer. That's it, until I can afford my Baralai costume!
I've never cosplayed before; heck, I can't remember the last time I dressed up for Halloween! That being said, I found a website that's selling a Sho Minamimoto cosplay. Once I get mahself a credit card, I'm so zetta getting it!
