Could Steam get hacked?

I actually had my steam account hijacked almost a week ago. Thankfully, I was able to get it back through steam support, and I immediately changed my password and added steam guard.

So yes, steam can get hacked.

Didn't Gabe Newell say that Steam was unhackable?

I can't remember exactly what it was, but he was at a conference and posted his email addres and stuff and practically dared someone to try to hack into his Steam account.
