Could the United States be invaded?

First, no nukes, or we nuke back but with three times as many. Second, China and NK fight with pea shooters, and China's tactics involve charging into enemy fire until the bullets run out, which won't happen anytime soon. And there's no Russian winter to save the Russians in America. Sure, it could be taken by the whole damn world, but there is no way in hell that it would be worth it.Shibito091192 said:

When you have a population as endless as China's, that tactic, stupid as it sounds, will defeat most infantry forces.

As well kiss GPS goodbye, aid, US Satelites and don't be surpises if the war goes against us to have nuke tip torps in the center of any naval forces. Tech to strong...and Mexico and Canada ... honestly... couldn't handle taking the cities. Between good old boys, Gangsta and gun nuts dreams of kill at will come true... it would be a nightmare.

If anyone else has ever tried to invade another continent on a fair technological ground on civilization 4, you will realize that it's impossible.
Even with a VAST troop advantage, the fact is that you are surrounded by the enemy with little room for escape, no room for error and money flowing from your pockets so fast that there is no way you could prevent economic downfall.
You are assaulting a continent in which you have no friends anywhere nearby. (Canada would fall into a puddle of our own urine if we were not standing beside the united states, and mexico is a bit of a non-issue), a continent posessing more guns, fanaticism and ignorant prejiduce than any other continent in the world, and a people with a reckless 'just nukem' attitude. (Sorry, this isn't meant to be anti-american, I'm proving a point).
The surrounding area is water. Just water. Nothing but water. Ships are a relatively slow, and inconvenient method of travel, easily engaged and difficult to hold, and air travel into the united states is effectively impossible.

I'm thinking that the US is a country impossible to conquer, but not subdue. You could 'defeat' the US militarily without necessarily occupying it. I mean, if you looked at victory over the US as removing its ability to exert military pressure on other nations (as in Germany following WW1) then yes, the combined military might of several foreign powers (Russia, China, EU) could theoretically overwhelm the conventional forces of the US.
Well it doesnt take much to invade France, all you have to do is walk in and let off a firecracker, then they'll all just jump up going ''WE SURRENDER!'' (Joke, please dont take offence any french people who might see this)
