Court rules D&D equates to Gangs

You could also argue that basketball teachs inmates how to throw hand grenades, and showers allow prisoners time to smuggle goods from one person to another. ((try not to think about that one to much.))

Everything we do involves team building exercizes. Basketball, football, even chess to a degree teaches you how to plan and organize groups of people. Atleast D&D is fun and non-repetative!

Well, adventurers are often described (technically rightfully) as violent hobos, which is not far from gang members... nah just kidding, the ruling is dumb and the judge probably didn't know a thing about D&D and tabletop RPGs in general other than it makes you worship SATAN!!! I hope the inmates take the case to a higher court or something (don't know that much about justice system). How funny it would be if this went to the supreme court.

.......That is the best post I have ever seen. If Prisoners really turned out like this because of DnD, it would be incredibly easy to keep watch over them. Especially if they try turn based combat with the guards. XD

There are ofcourse jails for white collar criminals.
When i think of prison, i think of the real prison. Not the pansy ones full of petty theft and first time offenders.

I suppose it could make you more organized or help plan out an escape... Not so sure about gangs though. If they play basketball and one person is the team captain is bask-ball a gang sport too? What if they have a knitting society and plan to organize an event to make everyone scarfs and someone is in charge is that gang activity? What is the criteria here?

About time they figured out the huge gang underbelly of D&D. I mean, good god, I've seen enough. The legendary battles over turf between the "3-5" and the "4-E" gangs were disruptive menaces to society. And the advent of the 3-5's subgang who simply call themselves that "Pathfinders" didn't help matters.

Meanwhile, there are a myriad of other smaller gangs, like the Shadowrunners up in Seattle, the presumptuously-named "Exalted", and the sinister machinisations of a gang known only as "Paranoia"...
