Why is this still going on?!
Don't answeer, that was hypothetical.
Honestly, this pisses me off and makes me want to weep for the sanity of my fellow humans. It also pisses me off that the most vocal haters of the game are my fellow Christians, especially Baptists. Gaah! It's a FANTASY GAME! It's not a cult, and I don't ACTUALLY worship Pelor and try to cast Bull's Strength on my cat! Although that last one would be awesome...

WAITWAITWAIT. Huge issue to start with. Theyer in prison, why are they allowed to even play D&D!?!? Its bad enough we let them live, now they get to have dayly adventures into the realm of fantasy with theyer best friends and anal lovers!?!?
Not any more they aren't.

I'd like to think nobody feels D&D promotes gang activity (well, any more than any social thing), they just want to take away the prisoner's toys cause they are prisoners, or because they people who can, can.

GROUP activity people, a dammed GROUP activity.
Now put the word ?gang? down and slowly back away from the stupidity.
I mean, I don?t even play it, have limited knowledge of it and I know the DM does not tell the players what to do.

The news is retardedly funny, and your responses are just freaking classic.

I can't think of a funny D&D/prison context joke right now.

D&D makes gangs, and Bulletstorm turns people into rapists.
What a world we live in.

isnt the structure of....every social creation of mankind create the same framework for forming 'gangs'? has 'gang' been expanded to mean anything more than one person now?!

havent prisoners been forming gangs and continuing to commit crimes while incarcerated since like the 30s? someone must have been really bored to give out this verdict now.

You see! This game DOES cause violence. Imagine if, after playing it, the criminals learn how to escape prison, think about it!

"Alright, Bill, Ted, Andy, it's time we finally get out of here. Here's the plan, we work out in the gym for a few days, leveling up, all that, spend all our attribute points on stealth, THEN, when it's time to go to bed, I'll use cloak of shadows to make it look like I'm invisible, the guards will come in looking for me, and I'll pull out a broken shard of glass and shank them from behind, I'd get a x4 damage due to it being a sneak attack. Then, after that, I'll sneak from my cell and bust you guys out, together we'll raid the Janitor's dungeon in the basement, if Ted provides healing support, then Bill can tank and me and Andy will DPS. Finally, after we beat the janitor, we can steal his supply chest, I hear there's a 12% chance of it dropping a pair of spring-heel boots, those give us +20 to our jump skill, if we keep farming the dungeon, we'll all get it, then we can jump over the walls of the prison and land safely and unharmed. IT'S GENIUS!

Gentlemen, get ready to grind a dungeon..."
Wow. I hadn't thought about it like that. You're totally right, D&D really is dangerous!

"Now, instead of playing harmless board games, prison inmates will have to find other things to do, such as form gangs and stab eachother. Great idea Appeals Court, we applaud your perseverance in solving the world's prison issues, one board game at a time."

My thoughts exactly.
