HOW COULD THERE BE ANY OTHER OUTCOME YOU CAN'T COPYRIGHT A WORD IT'S STUPID
Actually mojang tried to copyright a word, so in effect bethesda should have won is what your saying, which is true because they where only trying to protect their brand
And the chocolate company Cadbury have the colour purple trademarked.

Son, you're changing what I said to be something absurd so you can more easily understand. You're wrong.

Titles convey a message about a game. It's not a conscious decision a player makes based on the title. A player doesn't go "I like this title better than that title." Marketing NEVER works that way. This is the reason billions are spent on legal fees when it comes to brand/copyright protection, because most people know how powerful names of any product can be.
well first of, lets leave out terms like son, we are not benefiting this discussion by using nicknames that may or may not be viewed as looking down on one another and ones opinions.

And yes titles are important, but at the end of a day, people buy stuff based on the quality of the product, not based on it´s name. like the old saying goes "a rose by any other name, still smell like a rose"

So Minecraft popularity would be the same, whatever name it would have, with or without craft in it´s name.

This trademark does not mean that Cadbury ?owns? the colour purple, rather it has owns the exclusive right to use certain shades of purple for use in relation to packaging and a limited range of goods.
(Emphasis mine)

Mojang did a little more than that.

Bethesda would have had a bigger chance at the quake 3 death-match than the Swedish courts
