Crackdown 2 pretty much a sure thing

I really regret trading in Crackdown. I wonder if I can find it cheap somewhere.

It's a Classic title these days, so it should go for 20, 25 bucks at most.

Yes! At last! But they better rectify what they messd up with crackdown 1. It had no fucking story at all! They just chucked you onto an island and said "get to it then!". The only story you got was the cutscene at the end wich was kind of dissapointing.

Crackdown, now there's a fun game. I only borrowed it from a friend until I completed it but this reminder makes me consider buying it for myself.... I could definitely see myself playing it just to collect and unlock everything there is to, simply because it was so much fun.

I'll probably buy the original Crackdown along with Mercenaries 2 and Saints Row 2 sometime after christmas, since I'm craving some open-world, no-brained fun and GTAIV I'm afraid doesn't scratch that itch as much as I'd like. No doubt I'll buy number 2 as well.

Yes! Unless they go the GTA route and try and make it all realistic this thing should kick ass. Actually I'm gonna go play the first one now.

I'd also like to see more weapons, probably more exotic stuff this time. The first game had some good ones, but I rarely find myself using anything other than my usual Firefly/Grenade Launcher/Cluster Grenades combo.

Speaking of weapons, did anyone here buy the expansion pack? I've always been curious about it, but I still think 800 points is a bit steep for 4 guns and a few new vehicles.

And there were new multiplayer minigames. The harpoon gun was mad fun. Best sniper weapon in the game and it pinned dudes to well, anything, really. The minigun basically delivered death at a thousand bullets per second, and the rocket launcher was... interesting.

Vehicles were lots of fun, as was stuff like rocket tag.

Hot damn, Crackdown 2. The first game was a perfect combination of whimsy, realism, over-the-top abilities and blowing up whatever I felt like. If the second is anything like the first it will be awesome.

I would like some more weapons, though, and some more destructible environments. Being able to punch through walls, that sort of thing.

Ok, well, I didnt think I'd be called out on this, but here goes.
I'm drunk. I didn't read hardly anyone's post. I assumed that everyone loved it, based on one or two words I caught while frantically scrolling down to write about how much I HATED the original.
Am I a terrible person? I'll let you be the judge.

Sweet. I for one don't want it to have an epic story, seeing as how the lack of one in the first was one of the reasons I thought it was great. I found it to be a nice break from these giant "fate of the world is in your hands" games that pop up all over the place. Jumping around a giant city killing shit before scaling a 30-story building just because you can was a breath of fresh air, and getting another one will make me very happy.

I'd like some more interesting missions, and enemies, you could usually just charge in, kick the enemy in the face till he died, and that's it.

I want MORE ORBS!!!! I deleted my savegame 3 times so I could prance around on those rooftops to collect orbs. So fun!
