I played the demo. Fun, however, I can't help but think that the actual game will be the same thing that I have to pay for.

i own it, never liked it, kind of lame, too much super powers, once you get to a meddium lvl of powers the rest of the game seemed fairly easy.

EDIT: i had more fun with Assasins Creed...

It's just mindless, storyless fun. I mean, you can jump really high and shoot heat seeking rockets at bunches of enemies on the tops of skyscrapers. It isn't a perfect game, but it has what a lot of major titles lack: pure fun.

Because you play as a super powerful cop that no one could stop single handly. Plus the way the game looks makes it feel like your in a comic book.

Crackdown is fun as hell for a while, then I just get a "meh" feeling and stops playing for a while. Then after a while I play again, thinks its really fun and repeat

The best thing about it is the jump mechanics. I had hours of fun jumping around the city. on the other hand god help you if you want to drive.

Eh, I thought Crackdown was okay. Spiderman 2 (one of the best cases of movie->game ever) for the PS2 was a better open world game for me personally. Flying through the streets of New York so fast the buildings started to blur was awesome fun.

And Prototype>Crackdown as well in my opinion. Crackdown's not a bad game, it's fun in its own way, but it's certainly not "the best" open world game.

Not for me anyway.

By what I understand (I haven't played it very much), Crackdown is a bit unique in that genre. Anybody remember Starwars: Battlefront, and how almost no games were similar to it?
Apart from, you know, Battlefield, the game it was based off.

Well, yeah. Almost no games like them. Who all knew about Battlefield back then? Not me or my friends.

Answer:Crackdown is good because you get to play as a God-Like Meatbag doing insanely fun and sadistic things.
Question: You do know HK47 day is over, correct?.

On Topic: It looks like a good version of True Crime: New York. Without suicidal pedestrians.
Threatening Statement: It is never over meatbag.
Wraiths are not meatbags, tin can.
Expletive: Damn it man, what's wrong with love... for killing?
The fact you can't do anything with the souls, tin can.
I think this the most off topic a thread can go

Seriously? You guys hadn't heard about one of the most popular first person shooters of its time for two years? Kinda surprising...

Anyways, OT, I've often heard good things about Crackdown and wanted to try it. Unfortunately, I haven't had the chance yet.
