Crazient/Oddest/Worst Userbase on a Forum?

To be fair insulting the mods here can get you suspended. Let's face it, you got beef you need to bring it up maturely and with a mod (or anyone, really) privately, or you deserve to get the banhammer.

I've met a few douche-bags on the Australian Gamer forums. I'm sure the general population isn't all bad, but it seems they go out of there way at times to grief newcomers rather than welcome them (although... this seems to be prevalent behaviour in most places).

Other than that most forums I've been on have been okay. YouTube is of course the worse place for idiots.

Yeah, except the mods were also douches to a very high extent. At least the mods here are okay and don't insult users, telling them they're going to ban them and send them an email saying "I told you so." Fucking bastards!

Like I said, it's the place where sanity and coherent thought goes to die.

And yes, YouTube is the spawning ground of idiots.

I'd say youtube. there seems to be no limit to the stupidity there.... half the comments are racist/sexist, the other half are people going 'thumbs up if you're watching this in ....' or 'thumbs up if ... brought you here' and it's virtually impossible to find a video without a reference to Justin Bieber.

There seems to be two distinct groups in Halo forums especially on Bnet. Those that like Reach, and those that don't. Nothing else matters.

Gamefaqs forums. It can be entertaining if you're in on the joke, but for every actual contributor there are 10 trolls.

Facebook isn't actually a forum, but everyday I start to hate the majority of the users on that more and more.
I'd actually have to commend this site for it's userbase however, it has one of the most intelligent group of people I've ever seen on the Internet. (Although it's not like it was up against any fierce competition)

By design, that forum is intended as a support group for people who consider getting a parking ticket a clear sign of persecution of Christians, a lead up to the apocalypse, and you can always count on several users calling traffic police a liberal conspiracy set up to promote the gay agenda, and then one literally and honestly states how he can barely stand living in this world anymore and asks for Jesus to hurry up and come take him away and start smiting the remaining unbelievers (invariably accompanied by an animated praying smiley).

Okay, yeah, I only ever go there for the same reason as one would go to the circus.

I can't exactly specify a website, for I don't usually post much on forums (excluding the Escapist, of course).

I have to say this, you will always meet people who lack the ability to know when to post something on forums and when not to.

League of Legends. Whether its 8 year olds with terminal cancer, or racism, or sexism, or rape, or antisemitism, or any number of other unsavory topics, the user base their will latch on to it like ticks on a dogs ass and promote it to the very extreme, the jokes and offensive thought piling up and snowballing to ever ridiculous extremes.

Basically, 4chan, but with less pictures and more up-voting (And, if it can be believed, LESS moderation).

Oh God yes, the IGN comments section on EVERYTHING just turns it to a stupid idiotic pointless argument (although I hazard to even call it an argument, more like rabid foaming at the mouth) about whose console is best, which franchise is best, or that IGN is biased towards the Xbox and/or CoD, personal insults and just everything bad about the internet. Anything remotely intelligent that gets said there is lost in an instant because for some reason the way they organise the comments section, the most recent conversation is what always shows up at the top. So there's just page after page about people arguing about pointless rubbish. You will spend forever looking for something that was actually worth saying, and when you do no-one takes any notice of it.

But I also second Youtube. I can't really fathom just how Youtube's community it as bad as it is. I think it's because it isn't really a community. The barrier to entry is very low, and there isn't really a proper arena for discussion (a bit like IGN) so somehow that brings out the worst in people.

Something else that both these sites that makes them such hell holes is the common seixist objectivity towards females I find. If there is any video which features a girl or woman in it, 90% of the comments focus on nothing except her. Never ever saying anything about her performance in the video or anything else that's actually relevant, it's just all stuff saying in the realm of "she's hot I want to fuck her" or one that's more common on IGN "stupid annoying girl knows nothing about games fire her!" no matter if she actually DOES know what she's talking about or isn't annoying in the slightest. I once even read a comment on an IGN review saying that the female critic sounded cute because of her voice... As soon anyone puts a woman in their videos on either site the video seems to become about nothing except her.
