-They faked the moon landing
-Scientology gets a special mention
-Free will! Perhaps not a crazy theory, but it's pretty damn illogical.
-Theories that Genetically modified foods will do more harm than good. Fuck you, you fucking anti-GM food scum.
-Most theories in regards to alternative medicine.
-The theory that one person who is especially in-tune with the universe can 'contact' the dead.

-Holocaust denial!
-Videogames cause violence!
-AIDS was developed by the CIA and was created to kill off the homosexual community
-There is no such thing as Al-quaeda
-"New World Order"
-CIA killed JFK
-The Jews did X/the Jews control X

-Government is tracking people with chips/will in the future
-Various mind-control theories - E.g. "I was hypnotised to kill someone!"
-MIB (And yes, I do actually mean Men in Black)
-Solar flares did X

I'm sure that's not even the tip of the iceberg, but hell, there it is.

Mythology class presentations, on the relationship between Gods, Mankind, and Nature. The girl ahead of me clearly just copy-pasted some stuff, and it was a youtube vid of a Catholic priest saying the Big Bang couldn't have happened because of of the conservation of angular momentum, which he understood to mean that if the Big Bang had happened then everything would be moving away from the center of the explosion, stating: "Which according to the scientists who believe this is impossible because those same scientists also believe the planets orbit the sun." (This guy clearly also believed that the planets did not orbit the sun). It wasn't quite the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but the irritating thing was that 1.) The girl giving the presentation clearly had no idea what 'conservation' 'angular' and 'momentum' mean, yet she used the term 8 times, and 2.) It cut into MY presenting time ><

This! Just type Pirates Global Warming into google, and you will see! Its pretty funny stuff! Although I think it was started as a mickey take though! :p

It's Pastafarian god-damn it!
Which in turn is a daft theory!

Although I do understand why the theory came about, as a sarcastic parody of religion itself, but is a joke that has possibly gone too far...?

Every single religion.

Well, that and a claim that any education past high school is really a scam.

You're probably too into your "insufferable atheist" stage of atheism to notice BUT, the long, drawn-out analogy you are using to express that you are talking about god has been used to death. Find a new gimmick.
You got it wrong, as long as people are crazy enough to believe in that evil, sexist mad invisible man in the sky it's still funny. Like an idiot who keeps sticking a fork in a power socket, just keeps sticking it in there and keeps getting electrified without learning "THIS IS BAD!". Hysterical!

Ach, Microsoft are obviously the evil templars!

Buddhism doesn't accept the idea of god; instead it focuses on the fact that there was a guy who done good things after a childhood of privilege and luxury, and like that guy(budha) buddhists believe that their purpose is to become better humans.

So there, in my opinon, its the most human philosophy ever followed

OT: All conspiracy theorists, and religions which diregard and deny fact.

For the whole "lol religion one", disprove that a god (not in the christian sense, just a creator) exists, then you can laugh at it, until that point, you're in the "smug c*nt" category

but back on topic, scientology, they actually know it was written by a sci-fi writer, its like basing a religion off of the cat in the hat or something

Well, a high cleric or something in Iran said that the earthquakes happening to their region are due to women dressing provocatively.

I'm sure someone has already pointed it out but my god you spelled 'Stupidest' horrendously in the title.

Anyway the craziest theories I hear about are, pretty much all of them. All theories are a bit crazy to begin with, like Valve leaving clues about HL3/Ep3.

And I've learned that Buddhism isn't a religion as much as a religious lifestyle, so it doesn't count.

Actually, atheists aren't the ones making a claim that something is, thus the burden of proof is on those who claim that there IS a creator.

If you go with the whole "can't be disproven" mindset you can believe whatever you want, regardless of how nutty it may be.

However, I can disprove that this creator is almighty, for those who believe that:
If the creator is almighty, can he create an object too heavy for him to lift?

If the creator can create an object too heavy for him to lift, he's not almighty because he can't lift it. If he can't create an object too heavy for him to lift, he's not almighty because he can't create it.

Holocaust denial.

There is so much evidence: physical, psychological, photographic, etc.. how could anyone honestly believe that it didn't happen? I'm not sure if it's my paranoia or not when I hear completely off-the-wall theories and think to myself, "Does the person saying this actually believe it or are they just fucking with me/us?"
Does it matter? Who cares if someone denies it or not ?

Also: so many rude anti-religions posts , geez , can't a guy believe what he wants anymore ?

OT: i got nothing , i don't like to bash on people theories , unless they just made it up out of thin air . At least religions base their theories on a book . What grinds my gears are the people that haven't even read the book and comment on religion OR people who HAVE read the books and ignore certain parts . Either believe the whole thing or non at all . In that perspective atheist > most religion people .

I am religious and refuse to talk about it to most religious people due to that fact alone.
