Create A Planet!

So today a middle school teacher came to my class today to explain what we would do in the advanced classes. She mentioned in 8th grade we have an assignment to create a planet, and make it your utopia.

I, (thinking it was an awesome assignment idea), decided to make one up.

But I want to know what the Escapist Community's planets would be like, what the government would be like (if there was any) and etc.

I would create the planet Kraken. It would be run by squid people, who would fight against aliens using robot squids, which shoot tiny squid shaped bullets.

I forgot to post mine.

Mine would be a lush, green world with large forests. There would be three continents, two for common people and one private one for me.

The planet has it's own artifical atmosphere, (which can control weather), and have super intercontinental highway.

The population would be controlled by birth restrictions during periods, and there would be NO Poverty and little to no pollution.

Government would be ran by a supreme ruler.

And me? That third continent would be full of green, flat grasslands and a mountain range. I would live in an awesome Mansion of course, and live happily in isolation.

My planet would be a wasteland consumed by rivers of blood and rivers of lava.
The sky would be dark red and clouds would be black. The average temperature would be 33°F and would never snow.
The people will be violent and brutal warmongers. The government would consist of many kingdoms and tribes warring against each other for power. I shall be the king of the most powerful kingdom and cause many wars for amusement. Technology will advance very slowly but it will advance. The average person on this planet will also be 5 times stronger and more durable than the average human. Oh and the people breed and mature quickly.

Utopia cannot exist. With that out of the way, I would make the Venus Project come true on my planet. It would be awesome!

My Planet would be Shrine world to me. There would be statues of me everywhere, and everything would be me themed. Like we have lamp posts here, on my planet the streets would be lined with statues of me, each holding a globe of light with an outstretched hand.

The Government would rule the continents from a central island about the size of the UK, which would essentially be one huge palace made out of Diamond or something. It would be awesome.

Mine is kinda weird. It would be a giant ball made of some material that could be shaped into anything I want. All the things on the planet and the planet it self would come from the material in the ball. It would be like a giant clay ball and I could shape it into anything I wanted. Except it would be like God Clay, not normal clay.

My planet would be a cone of wind, a tornado if you will, that at the center lies a large upturned volcano, kept in orbit by a large ruby, and the lava exhumed from the bottom of it. The people there would be raiders and tribals who live on the mountain top (Or bottom, since it's upside down), and a civilization of steelworkers, blacksmiths, and engineers who live at the core of the volcano, using the magma to their advantage.

That would be a strange planet..

My planet would be about the size of Earth, and it would have ice rings around it like Saturn because that is awesome...

The planet would be divided up into 3 different sections. One for the the Oligarchy's three members (One to control the world religion, One to control military, and Me because I am the supreme overlord of everything...), the second for the rest of society, and the third to contain all of the neccessary resources to maintain life for the rest of time, which will never end because I control that too...

My planet would be an Ice Planet, like Braxis from StarCraft.

It's people would be tough, rugged people, who would live in isolated communes, or independantly, living off the land.

There would be no universal currency, due to no central government.

I would lead a small group of peaceful, but well-armed, ex-soldiers living in a more vegetated area.

I'd have not one, but 2 planets in orbit about eachother, one being a nice hot tropical paradise, the other a permanantly winter planet.

I've always been partial to an old-fashioned Terran world.
interestingly enough, that *is* what my planet would be...

Plus or minus (Plus) one nuclear doomsday.

And maybe one and a half million years (yes).

name: Nictopia (duh!)
size: very small (like Pluto)
terrain: quarter urban, quarter urban-jungle (like Halo 3's 1st level), with some volcanoes, and half water with places like Bioshock's Rapture, just more lively baby!
currency: vicodin pills
population: me, some friends, enemies (just for some epic fights) and alot of hawt girls (you can see where this might go)
species: super-humans (god-like), bears, wolves, sharks, and tons of other dangerous animals and maybe some mythic beasts that would fit with the terrain
anthem: "Bat Country" - Avenged Sevenfold

A planet with total continent space roughly the size of the combined land space of Europe, the Middle-East, and Northern Africa, including the Mediterranean Sea.

The climate would be mostly temperate, with the tropic zone being a very thin line at the equator. Rain would be common, and there would be an abundance of water. Rivers would flow widely, grass and plains would be the most common geographical terrain. There would be only a few mountain ranges, but those would be high, perilous peaks.

The world would be inhabited by an alliance of humans, dwarves, and elf-like folk, as well as another alliance of orcs, trolls, and other men. Neither is particularly good or evil. The people live simple, rural farming lives. There would be no particular leader; the people have a specific Code of Law ingrained in their minds which permits them to judge criminals perfectly well on their own.

And then you insert all the typical fantasy-setting stuff. Dragons, dark gods, all that fun stuff.

Oh, and I get to be a wandering bard. Yes.
