Garth Ennis is a great comics writer, but there are certains themes he enjoys (sex, violence, genital mutilation). I always get surprised when I remember how he's written probably one of the best and faithful Superman stories of all time (During his Hitman run).

Starlight by Mark Millar was phenomenal, I'd written him off as a gimmecky movie-chasing hack by that point. But wow, that was possibly the best comic I read last year.
You should check Superman Red son and Old man Logan

Most people know who Mild-Mannered Pate is. What most people don't know is that Peter Serafinowicz voiced him. Who is that, you might ask? He is a British comedian who has appeared in Shaun of the Dead, South Park, Guardians of the Galaxy and, here's the kicker, played Darth Maul in Phantom Menace. That's right: Mild-Mannered Pate is Darth Maul.

Everyone here remember Mordin Solus? That scientist guy from Mass Effect 2 and 3? Well, in Mass Effect 3 he was voiced by William Salyers, a voice actor who is also known for his role in Regular Show.
Actually, it's Ray Parks who played Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace. Citation is here. [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120915/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast]

I got to say Bobcat Goldthwait had an interesting change in his career. From clownishly absurd comedian who was in Police Academy movies to writing and directing brilliant dark comedies. His last movie, Call Me Lucky, is a documentary about comedian/activist Barry Crimmins.
Apparently Peter was the voice of Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace, not the actual actor for him. Citation can be found here [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Serafinowicz].
It was on the IMDB link as well. I didn't scroll down far enough to see it. I learned something new today.

I have. I enjoyed Red Son, found OML a bit meh. Despite my above disdain I used to be a fan and have read a lot of his work. Just a lot of his work doesn't stand up on reread like his run of the Authority and the Ultimates. Then I didn't really like Kickass, Wanted, Nemesis etc

So yeah really surprised by Starlight it's great.

Nine Inch Nails did the Quake soundtrack.
Reznor also did a lot of work as a sound engineer for Doom 3 but things didn't work out and his work didn't make it into the final release. He also did the theme for Black Ops II. Interesting note too, Reznor holds a Grammy and an Oscar.
Disclosure: I'm a huge NIN fan.

*H. R. Giger worked on the videogame Dark Seed.
*David Bowie did the music for Omicron, David Cage's first game.
*Angelo Badalamenti[footnote]Composer of Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, Twin Peaks and other David Lynch works.[/footnote] did the music for Fahrenheit, David Cage's second game.
*Depending who you believe, Michael Jackson composed music for Sonic 3 that either remained unused or was used but uncredited.
*The old guy at the gas station in No Country For Old Men ("What's the most you ever lost in a coin toss?") voiced the sheriff from Red Dead Revolver.
*Earl Boen, voice of LeChuck in the Monkey Island games, is the psychiatrist (Dr. Silberman) that antagonizes Sarah and John Connor in the first three Terminator movies.

Yep. Very prolific work, and I've got to say that NIN's concerts are visually stunning work as well. I went to the '99 Fragile tour and was hooked on their shows ever since, having been to most of the North American tours since.

There's an adorable show called Pecola created by Naomi Iwata. It looks like a sunny Minecraft world populated with anthropomorphic animals, though it predates Minecraft by about six years, and stars a mischievous, titular penguin boy. The only mildly creepy thing about it is when the animation editors miss a slip-up, otherwise it's cute and upbeat.

Iwata also created a show called Gregory Horror Show (sic) which is... not as cute. While it occasionally has some humor, overall it has a very "Hotel California" vibe. Extra creepy is the fact that it has a similar visual style to Pecola, and both have elder rat characters.

The first two seasons of the latter are worth looking at on their own, but you could get whiplash from watching episodes of both shows back to back. There's also a manga and PS2 game of the latter, though the manga is not in the same style.

Edit: fixed some sentence order and redundancy, I blame Daylight Saving Time
