Think of it logically, humans have a brain which makes them feel things a certain way, so we just need to put extremely advanced sensors and databases and information in a robot that gives it FALSE "feelings" and reactions to things.

That would work until some crazy guy makes Killbots but that would be pretty hard to do and through the development of robots I think they would make sure people can't get their hands on the parts and science, only top US or Japanese or whatever country's researchers.
It's not the sensory and reactionary aspects that are the problem. The problem is really empathy, and so far we haven't found a way to effectively program that.

The face still needs a lot of work. From a distance you might not be able to tell, but close up it's quite obviously not human.

I don't know who said it looked fake...but when I first saw it the thing looked fairly real to me...
