HAH - WIN.

I really hope he gets a decent arc in the next game. Though in my play through he seemed to mellow out a bit and my Paragon FemShep and him got together. With that in mind I can't see him snapping and losing it and needing to be taken behind the chemical sheds in ME3. Unless Shepard goes and dies again (I wouldn't put this past Bioware.)

I don't think his progression will be up the bad-ass ladder but probably more about handling his family duties (The Shadowbroker DLC had some info pertaining to that) and probably helping get Turians on your side to fight the Collectors. So maybe he gets a redemption arc.

If Garrus went renegade, he could easily double as The Punisher. (Or is this more Samara's territory?)

Maybe he'll get the same treatment Ashley got and also end up as a pretty blow-up doll? Seeing as the "George Clooney Uncanny Valley Look" is already taken by Kaidan. (Damn, do I sound bitter or what.)

Here's why I still prefer Stolen Pixels to Critical Miss. For the most part, when reading Stolen Pixels, a joke about a specific game is still funny whether you've played the game or not. You guys tend to make a lot of references that you have to have some context to find funny.

A good example of a comic that was funny whether or not you've played the game was your first DA2 comic making fun of the repetitive environments.

Wow sorry, I'm going to work on drawing lips regardless of what you want though.
Are you the artist for this comic? If so, i apologise if my comments came off as aggressive or self entitled, but i know i'm not the only one who feels strongly about the lip thing.
I've been drawing most girls with these lips for the last month because they have lips that matter more. Guys don't really but I still put the little bit of shadow under the lip to show they are present. Im slowly going to work on adding line definition for the upper lip but it will still be much less noticeable. Finding the right form is a process that is long and arduous and I intend to constantly change my art style. One day maybe even there will be dynamic colors rather than stale paint bucket work, but we will see.
I can certainly appreciate this and i do understand artists sometimes like to try and change or improve their artstyle over time. I'm not sure why girls' lips should matter that much more than guys' (lips are lips after all, with the exception of lipstick that girls may wear, or perhaps to add femininity) and i certainly won't pretend to understand why the lower lip needs to be highlighted that much more than the upper lip. However i have noticed that over the last couple of weeks it has changed in subtle ways to be far less obtrusive than it initially was; the Dragon Age comic is one example of this and i also saw another character with lips having been drawn in (not sure who - Leliana maybe?) which certainly helped. Maybe it's just been mostly guys in the panels which is why Erin has been the only one with lips thus far, but it did seem to stand out quite a bit. Once other characters start to have better facial detail and the inclusion of lips having been drawn in as well as Erin, i think it'll start to look a lot better overall and less out of place. Thanks for responding to my post though - it's good to know stuff like this gets addressed rather than brushed to the side.

its damn hard to get more badass than Batman mixed with wolverine

I'm not incredibly fond of the lower lip. It is fine in this one but in most issues it is freakishly huge.
I just nerdgasm'd at that image

Also, no one seems to have mentioned the most obvious option

I always enjoyed having Garrus and Wrex in my squad in ME1. They made the elevator rides more interesting.

Hey guys, nice thread and all, but...can it wait a bit? I'm in the middle of some calibrations.

I would just like to say your avatar made this post 100x more hilarious.

Could they just have Garrus go down in a blaze of glory that is part of the story like he fights like 10 Taurin Reapers and kills all but one and dies about to kill the last one?

Yea I didn't mean to insinuate anything there or seem snappy. I am looking to improve all the time and little details like this are important. The lower lip focus is just that they are usually more full whereas the top lip can have a harsher cutback causing more shadow.. if that makes sense (Im convinced Im universally wrong, half of the time). The female only thing may be a male bias but girls do take the time to paint them so it deserves more attention than the men.

Grey and I read pretty much every post since we are rather small fish in a big pond here but we like to think we make what we make with full intention. We hear people complain about Erin's sideburns but I'm not just going to change something I thought of as iconic about her initial design because people didn't like it ala infamous 2. I hope to find a way that I can alter my own designs to make them more appealing to the audience while sticking to my guns.

edit: post 100!

Heh. I think you guys just earned yourselves a huge heap of love from the escapist community.

Personally, I never quite understood all the Garrus worship. I mean, don't get me wrong, I do like him. He's fairly well characterized and fun to have around, but he never quite stepped into awesome territory. At least not for me.

Same with Tali, come to think of it.

...

I should probably go into hiding now.
I can kind of understand the love for Garrus and Tali, the perfect bromance and nerdgasm respectively. But there's just one thing that completely escapes me in every Mass Effect 2 related thread... WHY DOES EVERYONE HATE JACK? Am I really the only one that found her to be amusing and cool?

Maybe it's just my peculiar attraction to bitches...

Because some of us are weird like that. For example, I have mental and moral issues playing as evil characters in games where I have the choice to be one. I just can't do it without having to reload a save and fix my mistakes.

With Jack, I just don't like psychopathic bitches. Therefore, I won't attempt to be friendly with her in game.

We seem to be on opposite ends of the spectrum, Sheagor. With bitches, at any rate.

Y'know, I have pondered that exact question myself. [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/9.276557-Do-you-have-to-like-a-character-before-you-consider-them-good]

The good news is, not everyone hates her.
