Are you telling me you werent moved at all by the soldiers deaths? i wont spoil them for others but i found them very sad. differing opinions i guess. Just because it was americas decision to go to war you think that none of the Americans that died should be pitied? or mourned? just because it was americas decision? in fact it wasnt even their decision, they were attacked by japan, were they going to remain neutral after that?wc alligator said:
Also i wouldnt define schindlers list as a war film, that makes it sound like an action film, which wouldnt do it justice. The same goes for the pianist.

Toy Story 3 made me blub and, when I was very little, I had to be taken out of The Fox and the Hound because I was in floods. Bolt raised a tear during the climax and, if I watch the "John Glenn's Orbit" scene from The Right Stuff when intoxicated I have to dig out the Kleenex.
Deaths don't bother me so much as the "heartwarming" aspect I suppose. As much as people [who know me] think of me as some kind of hard-arse, the truth is I am a soppy bastard at heart.

The last film to make me cry was Toy Story 3... I basically said goodbye to my childhood at the end of that 
I almost, almost cried at the very end of Toy Story 3. I could feel my eyes welling up, but being the 19 year old dude that I am, I forced myself to not do so.
However, I have been told that when I was young, I cried crocodile tears when Mufasa died toward the middle of The Lion King. Looking back upon that movie, I would believe it.

Damn, someone should make Tom Hanks pay for all the tears he seems to have caused.
The end of The Great Escape always gets me a little lumpy-throated, but I think I only cried the first time I saw it.

Andy's funeral makes me bawl like a tiny, tiny child every damn time.

I cry a lot on movies, I easily "connect" with the story/situation.
But on I Am Legend... I choked. I couldn't stop crying the whole movie. I swear I was so so moved that the impression and me getting wet eyes every time I think of it lasted for more than three weeks. :|

I havent seen pearl harbor, so i cant judge it. technically you are right about the war film thing, i just feel that its about the victims of war, not the actual war. I realise i should of said that, so my bad. I agree that the soldiers arent the real victims, its the civilians.wc alligator said:
Im not saying america did the right thing by attacking japanese civilians but every country in the war that carried out air raids did the same, both the allies and otherwise. It isnt nice, but it works. Also i may be wrong here but if your referencing the atomic bombs that would require a large debate over whether it was right or wrong so i will leave that out.

I can think of two that I've watched fairly recently.

There is only one film I am aware of that drove me to tears, and that would be Pan's Labyrinth. Not even Graved of the Fireflys did that to me.
I am not ashamed to admit this one, the ending was heartrending and the music did not help me at all. Hell, The Devils Backbone almost did this to me as well.

I have cried at a few of movies. Click and Forrest Gump, for example.
I tend to get more emotionally involved in TV shows, though. Heroes has made me cry at least four times and I think I cried a couple of times during That 70s Show as well.

Whenever I watch those fucking rom coms on the plane. Marley and Me very nearly reduced me to tears and that movie with Jennifer Aniston and Aaron Eckhart had me covering my face.
At the end of Schindler's List. That's the only one I can really think of. It's hard for me to cry though.
