One happy PC owner. But this situtaion of 'to announce or not to anounce' is prtty stupid. Either they don't announce and get the reaction that they have had or they announce it and get the reaction the spokesman talks about in the article.

Maybe if they treated us like adults we would do the same as well. So instead they should have said that they were not sure if they were going to do a PC demo. They would like to but don't get our hopes up. I think people would be OK, with that. Of course we would be disappointed if there was not a demo but at least we would have been told 'striaght'. So the lesson is treat your customers like children and don't be suprised when they act childish. Treat them like adults and you might just have an easier time of things.

The way they have done it now just makes it look like it is due to PC gamers complains. So what's going to happen next time PC gamers don't get wat they want....? And no one wants that.

Computer melting games like these need demos before their release. Without them(or at the very least a downloadable benchmark) you'll end up with customers upset that they weren't able to run the game as well as they might have hoped.

I'll take a single-player demo, thanks. I want to play the game with AI and enjoy it, rather than play with drooling MW2 players and hate it.

...heh! That was so mean and stereotypical, and I thoroughly enjoyed typing it. Tee hee!

Oh, mulitplayer?
Well, that's... okay. I guess. Any single player news?

Thank you.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU...

Having looked forward to a game as much as I have Crysis 2 this takes the biscuit.
I wish EA would just say whether theyre giving the PS3 the demo instead of hushing up and being all mysterious even through theyve just announced that they didnt want to say anything. URGHH
Im too looking forward to the game to be that pissed off, lets hope it lives up to its expectations.

Crytek said that this game will actually use lower system requirements than the First, but will have better graphics. I would love to see how this works, if it works at all.

Yeah, Apparently that was because it was so poorly optimized. Hit the Interwebz and find a updated Config autoexec for it. Then You'll see how Crysis 2 will work :)

Any machine that can run Crysis 1 should run 2... on a further note... I just upgraded because I want all the shiny bits Crysis 2 has to offer :)

Well this made me happy. I'll definitely want to try it out. Let's just hope that "before Crysis 2 comes out" doesn't mean 2 days before launch...I'm not one of those guys who likes to get games on the launch, it's just that i don't like to wait :)
And yeah...i hope my PC will survive it.

all right crytek, lets see if you still have the pc melting touch.
my dual 460's await your delicious morsel.

EDIT: really, i am pre-dissapoint with this one.
I mean, it runs on a 360 for Pete's sake, how power hungry can it be?
%95 sure my comp will chew this game up and run perfectly cool while doing so.

Well since everyone else is posting their specs I will do the same. I sure hope crysis 2 runs flawless on 5760x1080 at highest settings and AA on max with my 2x gtx 480 sli, i7 2600k OC to 4,4ghz, 8gb DDR3 1600 mhz. Yay!

Well that is obviously bull as the new game will be DirectX 11 and the old game was DirectX 10. So I would have to upgrade my perfectly good for playing Crysis / Warhead rig as it is still DirectX 10. But I get what they kind of meant that it should not be the machine melting game that the first was.

I wonder if the text will actually be readable on the PC. Seems that way, considering how freaking microscopic all the text is...

Still, hopefully it'll play better on the PC, but I'm not holding my breath.
I don't know what you're talking about! Oh, right. "*blurr* has joined *smudge*-me".

I thought that I was just sitting too far away until I got up close and realized that the letters were just tiny.

OT: I'd love a multiplayer PC demo. I've gotten a kick out of the XBox version, yes, but I will be buying it for PC if I do get it, so I'd like to see how it holds up.

How is any of that bull? You don't HAVE to run everything @ max. Just because it will support DX11 does not mean you have to have it to play. Hell Crysis 2 will likely look just as good, if not possibly better on DX10 than Crysis 1 did.

Haven't they already stated that Crysis 2 will have lower system requirements than 1?
